The Photo Hut; Monday [01/10].
Well. One nice thing (although very, very clearly not the nicest) about having pretty much spent the weekend staying over at Liz's place was that it meant the trip to work that morning super easy! Well, maybe not actually that easy, since it involved having to drag himself out of bed and away from Liz, but he did sort of play around with the idea of just asking his boss for the day off, all things considered, but there was too much of a likely chance that he would just end up making everything really awkward, so there he was.
And not even really doing much work, if he was honest. Granted, there wasn't usually a whole lot to do on most days, but that day, he was mostly distracted by trying to figure out whether or not he should still be catching his usual portal home that evening, or if he should still stick around longer for Li's sake. It would be pretty bad, if they went and made all this progress, only to have it backslide again. So he really wasn't sure what he should do, and he'd already texted Noctis about it, and so now he was mostly just hunched over his phone at the counter while the two of them bandied back and forth about it.
Well, it started to be entirely about the situation, but, since it was Noctis and Prompto, it was very quickly dissolving into all sorts of unrelated tangents and eventually just memes.

She was also a lot more alert and focused than she had been as well after another night of almost getting a full eight hours sleep.
“Hi,” she smiled, a bit shyly at him though she had seen him plenty of times over the weekend,

There was a brief, fleeting moment where Prompto almost considering saying something other than what was about to follow, but, really, it truly was the only thing he could say, and he said it without any sheepishness in his grin when he did.
"Long time, no see."
Okay, well, maybe a little sheepishness.

“I did have a nice weekend though, you being there really helped …I haven’t slept that long in ages,” she told him, “thank you,”
no subject
"It was a pretty nice weekend for me, too, you know."
Which felt like suuuch an understatement.

“I …” she hesitated and bit her lip, “I …I’d like to do that again,” she said quietly, her blush deepening, “if ..if you would like to, I mean,” she added, stammering a bit.

"I mean," he pointed out, sounding oh-so-reasonable about it all, "there really isn't a reason why we couldn't..."
After all, technically speaking, he was pretty much just crashing at Seivarden's when he was here. Crashing at Liz's instead would be a substantial upgrade.
"Right?" That last part added after a sudden moment of doubt, rushing in with bold defiance to the very snuggly, smoochy heaps of evidence before them.

“Right,” Liz finally nodded, “I mean I do have the space?” she tried, “I mean…it’s just me and Rain after all, if - if you wanted to stay with me I …” her voice trailed off awkwardly.
Had she just invited Prompto to move in with her?

Although, yeah, no, that definitely sounded like Liz had invited Prompto to move in with her. Which pretty much meant that he wasn't going to be able to keep that crooked, eager, hopeful, nervous grin off his face even if he'd tried.
"I don't know, Liz," he mused, not sounding even the least bit uncertain, "how do you think Rain'll feel about that? I know how cats can be, about their space and everything..."
He knew Rain and him were pretty solid; he wasn't concerned about that one at all.

"Well, then," he stated, and the weight of the reality of what he was about to say started to flood into him and make his cheeks burn, which he tried to counteract with squared shoulders and a determined nod, "as long as she's okay with it, then I think...I, uh, yeah. I think that..." Definitely feeling the pull of that weight now as he licked his lips a little, let out a nervous kind of laugh, but he did finally manage to look at Liz and it all sort of...softened a bit when he did, "...that could probably...really work out..."

"I'm pretty sure Gladio and Ignis won't mind the extra space back at Seivarden's," he said, and then stopped himself, because he realized he was still trying to come up with justifications for it, as if he had to keep proving why he should be there, why it was a good idea, despite the fact that it was clear that they'd pretty much agreed on it, and also, Prompto, you easily took up the least amount of space in that equation, you were like nothing, although, really, he'd always been used to taking up much more space and having to justify that...
He shook his head a little as he realized he was getting wrapped up in it and forced himself to just focus on the simple task at hand.
"But I would like that," he said, simply, honestly, with an almost apologetic grin. "A lot, actually."

She beamed at him though when he said that he would like to move in with her, she blushed again, “Then … then it’s official, I mean we’re going to do this?” yes she knew she was the one who had basically asked but well she had never asked anyone to move in with her before so she wasn’t entirely sure of the actual process.
no subject
"I guess we are," he said, and his grin really didn't have any room to get much bigger then, but it seemed to be trying. "I mean, well, probably not official official until we get that key, but..."
He trailed off a little, partly for dramatic effect, but mostly as if to remind Liz that she still had an easy out there if she wound up regretting this.
"I guess we are," he said again, this time sounding almost mystified by it.
no subject
“Right of course,” Liz nodded nervously, “I’ll look into getting a key made for you,” she let out a nervous laugh, “I’ve never done this before,” she admitted, "but ...I ... I'm looking forward to ... us moving in together, I mean," she definitely wasn't planning on backing out now.

...and just pray it didn't all come crashing down in flames some day.
...both figuratively and literally!
But that moment of just letting himself have that passed soon enough, and he just wound up shaking his head with a faint laugh.
"You're gonna get sick of me in, like, a month," he warned her. "Tops."
no subject
"I don't think you have anything to worry about there," she said with a laugh, "I could never be sick of you," she blushed again as she said it.
no subject
"Famous last words," he said," he said, with a lightness he didn't really feel, grinning over at her for a moment before leaning in to...seal the deal, chase away those thoughts, distract her...with a kiss.
