The cold was on the (more) bearable side tonight, so Silver didn't look completely miserable to be at work. It didn't necessarily mean he'd do his job well, but he'd be willing to give it his best shot.

"Good mood?" Rey asked with a smile as she took her seat.

"I don't know if I'd say good." That seemed like it'd be jinxing something. "But it's not the arctic outside which I can appreciate."

"This almost feels warm, comparatively. Does that mean I'm acclimating?" she asked.

If it did, it would last only until it dropped below freezing.

"Could be," he said with a slight smile. "It only took...how many winters?"

"...Two and a half?" Rey said, only a little embarrassed admitting that. "Anything that happened before a year straight on Jakku doesn't count."

"I believe you," he said, sitting down a soda in front of her. "Anything interesting at work?"

"Thank you. My gremlin friend brought me coffee," she said, holding up two fingers to show about how big a cup it was.

"And you trust them enough to drink it?" he asked.

Rey raised an eyebrow. "What do you think they'd do to my coffee?"

"I don't know," he said with a shrug. "I thought those things were evil."

"Oh, they're not," she assured him, of course having a very Rey answer for this. "They seem to mostly be scavengers, too. They just get a little... bitey sometimes. And this one's been the best coworker."

"I'm sorry, if there was a chance of Tiny biting me I wouldn't call him a good coworker." But that was just him.

"Even if he never did, or even wanted to?" she asked.

"I'd certainly keep my guard up," Silver said. "If Tiny brought me a drink I'd be suspicious."

Knowing Tiny he probably spit in it.

"I don't think I could. Not unless I knew there was a reason he'd want to do something to me," Rey said. "Caution is fine at first but then you get to know people."
