The Photo Hut; Monday [01/24].
After last weekend and whatever the hell was going on on Thursday, Prompto had been more than happy to have had a nice, quiet, uneventful, unremarkable, unexciting weekend. More like that, Fandom, please and thank you, although he'd definitely been around long enough to know that this request would be, eventually, summarily and spectacularly denied.
Which just meant he'd just have to be all the happier for the quiet weekends like that weekend all the more, and appreciate the fact that the most taxing thing it seemed he had to do today was go through his camera roll and figure out which of the multitude of adorable pictures of Rain he'd snapped over the past few days, some of them candid, some of them failed attempts to set him up cutely in poses, to keep, among the occasional shot of LIz, some good wintery shots of the island, and the inevitable accidental shots of the other guys' butts what always seemed to show up when he took pictures on their morning runs.
Like...how were some of those angles even possible? But there were always a few.

“Hi,” she said with a smile as she walked over, she had also come downstairs a lot earlier than last week as well, "how has your morning been?"

He seriously took so many random candids at any given moment that doing so could easily be a full-day's job. He took a second to consider what he was currently on and turned the viewscreen toward Liz to show off the shot of Rain sleeping, curled up around a floofy little chocobo cat toy he'd picked up for her not too long ago.
"I think," he declared, in a tone that denoted him as a clear expert in this sort of thing, "this one's a keeper."
no subject
“Oh that is a good one,” she said, looking back up at him with a grin, “definitely a keeper,” she added, agreeing with him.

And with just that little more progress done on his work, he set the camera down and shifted his attention back to Liz. "How was your morning?"
And, sure, he was pretty confident he could guess that answer, but that didn't mean he didn't like hearing it from her directly.

She considered Prompto’s question.
“It’s, it’s been good,” she told him, smiling, “I’ve been feeling ..really good,”
She knew how quickly that could all change so for now she was enjoying one of her calmer and more peaceful moods.

And, sure enough, that was about what Prompto expected, and, just as he thought, it was definitely nice to just hear her say it. "Good," he said, adding his own contribution to all that good-ness and just sort of enjoying it for a moment, especially because, yeah, he knew, too, that next weekend, they just might be singing a completely different tune. Had to enjoy it while it lasted.
"Any thrilling and exciting plans for the rest of your day?"
no subject
“Well I have my class this evening but other than that … “ she said with a grin, “my day’s pretty free, nothing too thrilling or exciting I’m afraid,”
no subject
"Looks like we're in the same non-thrilling, un-exciting boat together, huh?"
And he sounded very much like that was no where else he would rather be than that non-thrilling and thoroughly unexciting boat, either.
"How is that class going, anyway?" he then asked, tilting his head with interest before leaning an elbow on the counter and cradling his chin in his hand to let her know his attention was entirely on her now.
At least until someone walked in needing help, anyway, but, come on. What were even the chances of that?

There was a pause as she considered her response, “Class has been good,” she told him, even if it was still a bit strange being in a class taught by your therapist.
“we went to Miami last week, that was different,” she told him, “we ate at a Cuban restaurant, I hadn’t done that before,”

Maybe not so nice when that snow decided to attack, but that hadn't really happened in a while, so...he was happy to enjoy it, while he could, but his attention found itself less on snow and a little more on what Liz said about getting out of Fandom for a bit...
They had talked, a while ago, about her maybe coming with him one of these days, to Insomnia, once all the holiday stuff was over, but then...with something last week happening...He looked at her thoughtfully for a moment, wondering if maybe...but he wouldn't want to push her, he should give her more time, right?
He smiled, tried to clear it from his head.
"Could do without all the jogging in it," he added, with a laugh, "though, that's for sure."

If she’d known what Prompto was thinking, well she would actually quite like the idea …even though she’d be a bit nervous visiting his home.

And he realized that Liz never really did talk about having been an agent much, but, at the same time, he couldn't really blame her. But, even having been the the BPRD, it was like a whole side of her that he till had left to really uncover...

She figured this would be something Dr. Lecter would approve of …getting outside in the fresh air and also the physical exercise as well.
no subject
Which he definitely knew from personal experience. Ugh.

and hopefully she wouldn’t cry too much when she inevitably did fall behind and the yelling happened, since she was completely out of practice with this aspect of her training.

But as it was, he just grinned a litlte, shook his head, and lifted his hands as if to suggest the situation was now officially out of them. He chuckled a little and said, "Alright, then. When I drag you out of bed bright and early Friday morning before classes, you'll know why."

He cracked a crooked grin at Liz.
"We'll obviously just let them win that one."
no subject
There was a pause , “as long as it’s not going to interfere with your own training or anything,” she said quickly.

.....now he was kind of hoping they did run into a porg parade, because that sounded adorable.
"They'll get over it."
no subject
Maybe they could take a detour to one of their nesting spots while on their run?
no subject
"I can't believe," he noted, with an expression of amused disbelief, "we just made a date to go running."

She was definitely appreciating how nice it was and… especially after … well everything …she knew now not to take these kind of moments for granted.

She was definitely appreciating these quieter moments now and how calm and content they made her feel.
