Could Lucifer spend more time rubbing the axe issue into Eric's face? Absolutely. But the visit to his new club this week had put him in a different mood, equal parts pensive and pleased.
It felt like... a step forward.
A genuine attempt at making a new life, rather than hiding away from the life that was waiting for him... elsewhere.
And so he took to the piano for a rousing rendition of one of his favorite Nina Simone classics.
(It always came back to Nina, when it came right down to it, for him.)
