Billy felt like shit that afternoon as he walked into The Perk. And he knew he looked like it to thanks to the mirror in the bathroom. He knew what day it was, if only because of the fact the gaudy decorations around town seemed even more-so this day. If he had been in a better mood and have been feeling better, Billy might have had a few tingling memories of a certain someone creeping into his mind more than usual...

As it was, the nightmares were still enough to keep him thoroughly distracted and on edge. He had finally passed out sometime yesterday... or was it the day before... by this point Billy could barely keep track of time anymore... But of course as soon as he had fallen asleep he had started dreaming again. And the nightmares seemed worse than before too, if that was even possible.

Pushing close to another 48 hrs without sleep by this point, Billy staggered in through the doors feeling both on edge and completely numb at the same time. He was starting to realize maybe trying to go at this on his own, stumbling around (literally) trying to avoid sleeping, wasn't the best approach. The kicker might have come when he realized the baristas already had his extra large double espresso shot chocolate mocha monstrosity ready and sitting on the counter when he arrived. Had he really been coming here that regularly?

"Yeah, I know... I know..."Billy said as one of the baristas started up again with the whole 'You really need to get some more sleep' bit. "I appreciate your concern. No. No I of course I don't want to end up in the hospital but...." he sighed as she continued for a few more minutes. "Yeah... yeah I'll go talk to someone. Promise..." he said as he took his cup and then headed for his normal seat in the corner. As he sat down, Billy pulled out his phone and started tapping out a question into the search page - "can you stop yourself from dreaming?'
