The Photo Hut - Thursday
Liz had had a really nice time on Valentine’s Day and had enjoyed getting to spend it with Prompto in his world. The original plan had been to return later on Tuesday only she’d figured since the visit had been going well that she decided to extend it by another night and Prompto hadn’t minded her staying the extra night either, and so she had come back to Fandom yesterday afternoon.
Only it turned out that Rain hadn’t enjoyed the fact that Liz had been gone for so long and when she had returned to the apartment she had found it a mess, so the rest of Wednesday had been her cleaning up the mess that Rain had caused and had been relieved that she at least hadn’t managed to break out of the apartment and make it downstairs to the store.
So when Liz came downstairs to open up the store for the day, she was finally able to start tackling the work that she had missed the last couple of days and she had found that missing even a few days of work had resulted in a lot of paperwork that had started to pile up and so she was spending her morning trying to get on top of that before she started looking at order forms and what inventory she needed to order.

"Hey," he greeted Liz with a smile as he made his way over to the counter, head tilted a little curiously because it definitely felt like she was busier than usual, but if anyone thought that was going to stop him from leaning over to add a customary kiss to that greeting, well, then, they were wrong. "Long time, no see."

“Hi,” she grinned at him, rather glad for the chance to take a break.

But that was then, and now, he was back, too, and they had the whole weekend again, plus all of next week for the school trip, and everything up to that point had been...amazing, so that one little blip could easily be pushed far, far away.
"How's it going?" he asked. "Did I miss anything exciting?"
no subject
“I spent the rest of yesterday cleaning up,” she explained, “at least Rain didn’t get downstairs that could have been a lot worse,”
no subject
"Oh, wow," he had to gawk a little, but he also had to laugh, and he was fighting the urge to go upstairs immediately to check on how any of his stuff had fared. Not that he'd really moved that much over, he hadn't kept much at the Covent Garden apartment, either, but there was some video game stuff, camera equipment, clothes... "Someone was busy! And they're going to have fun with her at the shelter while we're gone, if that's where you're taking her. Or were you thinking of dropping her off with HB for the week?"
At some point, probably in that instant, yes, he decided that that was a thing he was calling Hellboy now, apparently.

There was a pause as she considered the rest of Prompto’s question, “trip?” she tilted her head, “are we going somewhere?” she hadn’t yet put it together that there was the school trip coming up.

"Right," he said, as if getting back in line with everything, "we haven't talked about it. I actually just heard about it, of course we haven't talked about it yet, I am getting way ahead of myself, but....it's spring break next week."
He flashed her a grin.
"So you know what that means."
She'd gone to school here, too. So unless they didn't even do school trips back in her day (she'd said there wasn't even a shuttle her first year!), then she should know what that meant without him elaborating.

Then there was another pause, “you want me to come with you on the trip next week?” she checked to make sure that’s what Prompto was saying.

A paused, and the grin tilted a little more.
"If you think Rain will allow it without tearing this whole place down, anyway."
He was honestly mildly afraid to head upstairs now.

but the mun can’t remember which ones.It had not been a pretty site when Liz had returned, she hoped Rain hadn’t gotten into Prompto’s things because part of her had been scared to check his belongings.
Hopefully Rain had left them alone.
“Well I was thinking of maybe letting her stay with HB, that way she can spend time with her brothers and sisters and I’m sure he will take lots of photos for the cure cat competition,” she smiled. Yes she liked that Prompto had called Hellboy HB earlier and apparently it was now a thing.

"And it's Kenya and Zanzibar this time," he offered, head tilted to see if she'd recognize them better since, you know, this was actually her planet and everything. "In Africa?"
no subject
Then she considered his other point about Rain and had to laugh, “I don’t think she’d like it if she was left alone for a week, I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t even have a store to come back to let alone an apartment,”
She wouldn’t put it past Rain to be able to just as effectively destroy both.

“You’re welcome,” she smiled at him, “this is going to be incredible and it will be nice to do something that’s different as well,” she told him, “and I'm glad that I will be able to experience it with you as well," okay admittedly she wouldn't even be going if Prompto hadn't asked her so this was really the only way she could get to go that was totally beside the point, right?

Look, clearly, it really had been a long time since they parted ways in Insomnia, so there was all that lost time in between to make up for!
"That's definitely going to be the best part," he said, then smirked with a rare swell of confidence, even with the pink across his cheeks. "I meaaaan, it's not exactly dinner at a fancy restaurant on an entirely different planet, or anything, but I'm sure it'll still be cool."

It had been a long time since they had last seen each other hadn’t it?
“Nothing will ever top those experiences,” Liz assured him, giving him a shy smile, “I mean not many people can say they’ve spent Valentine’s Day at a fancy restaurant on a different planet,” then it was her turn to start blushing.
Well that would actually probably be a good portion of Fandom’s population Liz but who was counting?
