Look, townies-without-teacher-friends! Everyone else is packing up and going on vacation! You get the island to yourselves!

...and the firefighters are staying, so don't try to burn the place down, okay?

Anakin stood in front of the Portalocity office door with his sensible duffel full of clothing and his two pouting children who were very upset he hadn't taken them out of school to go to Africa. And he wouldn't even bring them back a leopard! Anakin was the worst.

"It's only for a week," he was telling a mulish Juliet, "and then we can go up to Connecticut to visit your grandparents."

"Connecticut does not have lions," she muttered.

Welcome, fellow travelers! Arrive quickly and save Anakin from this akwardness!

Astrid had gotten there plenty early, sitting on her well-worn, well-used suitcase filled with half as many sketchbooks and art supplies as clothes, one such book opened on her lap as she already started getting to work on logging the trip through doodles and drawings.

This was probably her last one of these, after all. Better make it count.

And Connecticut does not have lions made for a great title for a piece, too.

Kurt had a large duffle bag and a back pack with him as he arrived, the nervous excitement making it impossible for him to sit and wait in the dorms any longer. So there he was sitting on the duffle bag, going through his backpack to make sure anything he would need quick access to was there and ready to go.

And around his neck was the new camera he had handwavely gotten from the Photo Hut earlier that week. With his pack organized and ready, there was nothing to do but wait and watch to see who all was coming along on this grand adventure!
