Fix&Clean Shop- Wednesday

The school trip had been amazing, save for a rather painful sunburn as a lasting memento for the time being. And with a few days to rest and readjust to the much colder climate, Dwight was mostly back to something resembling his normal routine. Snoopy was getting him up early still for their walks, and the pup seemed to have saved up a lot of energy for when his had gotten back.

So, with the morning walk done, the coffee pot brewing, and the shop opened for business, Dwight started the day's to do list by tackling inventory and sorting through the last of the scrap wood he had from Amaya's old counter to see what he might be able to do with the smaller pieces. And while he was working on all that important stuff, Snoopy was happily trying to destroy one of the new chew toys they had gotten from Furnado's.

And as usual, here came Miguel. He was going to need even more coffee this morning, because somehow this morning's wasn't working very well.

"Should he be chewing on that?" Miguel couldn't tell if it was a dog toy or a piece of something.

[alwaysonguard]

"Yeah, it's just the latest casualty of the chewing monster" Dwight said with a smirk. "Think I need to buy stock in a tennis ball company the way he goes through them."

Dwight gave Miguel a glance and a somewhat questioning look. "Coffee is ready and your mug's ready too. Looks like you could use it" he added with a nod towards the coffee pot.

"Believe me, I can." Miguel poured a cup and started drinking it down fast.

He smirked a little at Dwight, though. "Thought we'd avoided the lobsters on this trip."

"Har, har..." Dwight said sarcastically. "When you don't have a handy healing factor kicking in, a few missed sunscreen applications are bound to catch up with you!" he added with a slight wince cuz yeah, sunburns suck!

Miguel managed a mostly sympathetic grimace. "That and you're pale as anything. You doing okay?"

"Other than feeling like a cooked lobster, it seems to be going well... not the first sunburn I have had" he said with a shrug and a slight wince. Ya know... just the first bad one in a long long time.

[what_the_shock]

"Sunscreen is your friend. You got enough cream to get you through?"

"Yeah got some stuff from the clinic too so should be fine. Mostly just my pride right now that will take time to heal up" Dwight added with a chuckle.

"Yeah, pride can handle it," Miguel said with a shrug. His had certainly taken enough hits over the years. "So what's next on the woodworking front?"

[alwaysonguard]

"Got a couple projects lined up that will likely have me out of the shop for a bit again" Dwight revealed. "Working on some sketches for Dr. Lecter, and got more work to do over at the forge for Amaya. So should be keeping me busy, and hopefully out of trouble. What about you? Keeping yourself busy after that whirlwind of a trip?"

Miguel shrugged. "Testing the dog for shark genes. I'm sequencing by hand to make it more interesting and mysterious."

Ok THAT was going to earn you a pause and a certain look there Miguel.

"Ooookkkk.. that is a new one" Dwight said with a chuckle. "If you do find something, make sure Snoopy doesn't get any of it ok? Pup chews things up enough as it is!"

"You can't catch genetics," Miguel said, rolling his eyes. "We realized we'd never seen her stop moving, thought it'd be worth it to check."

He paused.

"Okay, it's almost certainly a stupid idea, but this is Fandom, and I'm bored."

"Hey you never know with this place, so it's worth being a little extra cautious!" Dwight said in his defense. But at least you found a hobby for now, geek-boy" he added with a smirk.

[what_the_shock]

"Yeah, and what have you been doing with your spare time?" Miguel shot back.

"Oh ya know, running around after an energetic pup and keeping the online shop stocked with new things for sale."

Did those count as hobbies? Didn't matter. They counted in his mind.

"Yeah?" Miguel grinned. "Really getting into that online thing, old man."

[alwaysonguard]

"Ha-ha. yeah, seems you can teach an old dog new tricks... slowly..." Dwight said with a chuckle. "Just sticking the smaller things that are easy to ship out, especially since I doubt anyone would be too keen on traveling here in the snow and ice to check out furniture or something. Maybe when things warm up a bit more... we'll see."

"Some people might not be able to find the island, apparently," Miguel pointed out. "But hey, starting small is good."
