It had been an enjoyable week, if a little exhausting, and Lucille felt that a quiet day at the flower shop was going to be a good thing. Yes, she was aware of what was likely happening this weekend, but children rarely went shopping for flowers, and she had mostly been relieved not to be woken up by one. 

There were flower arrangements to be made, and orders to be placed, and there was music coming from the record player.
