Well! This weekend certainly made a fine mess out of things, didn't it? And Amaya, of course, had absolutely no way of actually addressing it or dealing with it or handling it in any way that didn't involve staunchly trying to ignore it and avoid acknowledging that any of it had actually happened at all. Like most Fandom things, she was going to shove it so far out of her brain it would hopefully take years before it caught up and bubbled back into her consciousness again.

Instead, she was, naturally, going to channel that focus into her work and the forge. Specifically, some nice, intricate and involved damascus steel, in a complicated feather pattern that definitely required a deft hand and a lot of attention. The kind of work that actually did manage to let her forget everything else for a while and would leave her with a new shiny piece for the weaposn wall. With something as involved as damascus, you'd most likely stick with a short sword or a dagger, but this might call for something a bit bigger and broader.

Hey, at least Amaya's particular brand of repression was at least productive.
