Miguel walked into the diner for his shift with a sense of dread. He cautiously peeked into the kitchen.

"Huh." Okay, apart from the cheese hat the cook was wearing, this was entirely something he could deal with. Cheese was always good.

Then they handed him a cup of something. He looked down at it first in confusion and then in horror. "Nope." He set the cup down firmly and went to brew his own coffee. "No. Cheese does not belong in coffee. Do whatever else you want."

"You put milk in coffee," the dishwasher pointed out.

"I do not," Miguel countered, "and even people that do probably agree it's not the same." He ignored them and went to write the specials board.
