It seemed that Eddie had beaten him to the punch when it came to the useless checks to be done every week, which mostly left Buck sitting at the reception desk waiting for an emergency. He decided to bide his time doing something useful -- reading all about the Galveston hurricane of 1900 on wikipedia.

He was gonna be so full of morbid facts, y'all.

When you get a bunch of food poisoned raccoons barfing in your clinic it'll be your own fault. And then Buck would have to come and hose the place down.

Can raccoons even get food poisoning? You’d think they’d have hardy stomachs what with all the trash rummaging.

The clinic was already smelling a bit too much like a seafood restaurant, he didn’t want to encourage the smell to linger.

Come on, don't be a chicken. Easy for him to say, he was safe in the in the fire station that didn't smell.

Kind of smells like old fast food in here if that makes you feel better. And whose fault was that?

Buck's. It was Buck's fault. He was bored, he had Mooby's delivered.

I think seafood is probably worse but this weather is really not helping with anything smell-related.

Well if it get bad enough that a high-pressure hose might help I have no problem coming down there. And then they'd have a whole other problem on their hands, but thinking ahead wasn't Buck's thing.
