The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night
"Tiny," Lucifer said sharply. (He was going for sharp. His tone... may have gone a bit higher than that.) "What has he done?!"
There was pink paint.
All over.
His piano.
It could only be one man. Vampire. Viking.
"Right," Lucifer snarled. "I can only respond to this in kind!"
He snagged the spray paint cans from behind the counter and stormed into the axe range to, ah, 'work on it'. It was very abstract. Bar the phrase that was rather unkind about Eric's mum. And the one about Eric's face.
Tiny said nothing. In fact, Tiny seemed to shrink further and further away to the back of the bar, at least until he remembered he'd left the receipt for the spray paint out on the counter and rushed to go grab it. (Thankfully, by that point, Lucifer had retreated to his seat on one of the sofas to sulk and drink whiskey.)

This did not stop him from leaning right into Duke's arm.

In that way where Lucifer loved the things about Duke that infuriated him the most.

What came out of his mouth was, though, "I'm surprised you don't already own one."

... Duke had successfully and completely distracted him from the piano, yes, and he loved him for it.

"How was your day, beyond full of tie-dye?"

"Still brooding on that, are we?" Lucifer said. "Suppose that's why you were so content with the name on your last boat..."
