Well. Irene loved nothing so much as a theme, did she? And this weekend was presenting her with quite an easy theme for a sex shop to follow.

So, the display window and front tables were stacked high with Pride-themed -- and, well, Pride-adjacent, shall we say -- toys and apparel.

And Irene herself? Why, where else would you expect to find her besides back at the counter, idly shopping for something colorful enough to wear this weekend. (She herself was not much one for rainbows on her person, but she did look lovely in the lesbian flag's shades of pink and magenta, so maybe that would do.)

Jon appreciated the theme, even if he was shaking his head at the display as he came in.

"Good afternoon, Irene."

"Afternoon, Jon!" Irene called cheerily, glancing up from her phone. "How're things?"

Aside from generally fairly rainbow-y around these parts.

"I'm well, thank you." Jon nodded. "I hope you are."

"Right as rain," she promised, frowning briefly at her phone before turning it around to show Jon a hot pink Alexander McQueen bustier crop top. "Too much, or just enough for this weekend?"

Jon was likely good for a non-judgemental and unbiased opinion on this matter, she suspected.

"Er." Jon blinked at it. "It's rather bright, but, well..." It was Pride, after all, right? "I suppose it depends on what you're wearing it with. And you'd need some very good sunscreen."

"Oh, absolutely. And regular re-applications," Irene agreed, turning the screen back to frown at it again. "I don't particularly want to go with head-to-toe rainbows, but I thought perhaps working with shades of pinky-purples and oranges might work nicely."

She had honestly pulled up the flag to use it as a sort of color palette, even. It had, quite literally, been a different time the last time she'd done anything Pride-related. So many flags now!

"Does...right, the flag." Jon nodded. "That seems about right, then. Actually, I...well, I was wondering what flags you might have around here. For Pride."

He'd never really thought about it enough to identify specifically with any of them, but he supposed he should set an example for the children.

"I have an enormous number of flags," Irene assured him, gracing Jon with a brilliant smile. "Honestly, I keep having to pull up the guide on my phone to make sure I've got them all right. Are you looking for something full-sized, or just a wee flag to wave about?"

"Erm...not the large ones, I don't think," Jon said. He wasn't really ready for "loud and proud". "Quiet and queer" was much more his speed. "Or...actually, maybe something like what you're doing? With clothes, I mean. But not a, um...corset?" he added with a faint smile. "I doubt I could pull that off."

"First off -- don't sell yourself short. Just needs to be the right corset," Irene replied, cocking a finger at him. Though, admittedly, the one she'd picked out on her phone was definitely meant for someone much...breastier than Jon. "But I've got pins and T-shirts here -- or you're more than welcome to tag along for something when I go to the shops for myself."

The mainland offered options a bit more to Irene's taste than Pixie Dust, much though she did enjoy dipping in there every now and then.

Jon was low on breasts even by cis-man standards, it was true.

He frowned faintly. "Are there...that is, I don't often do much clothes shopping, so I wouldn't know what sorts of choices I'd have."
