Magpie Emporium; Friday [06/24].
"Yes, but," said Graham, who was clearly in a very deep, philosophical discussion with Saffron the cat....or rather, he thought he was in a deep, philosophical discussion with Saffron the cat, but mostly Saffron was just ignoring him as usual in favor of a world where he apparently didn't exist at all except for when it came time to feed her, "why so many pinecones? Is it some kind of magic spell? Is it an omen? Did someone just forget them here? Are they symbolic? A curse? Pieces of a puzzle? Pieces of a game?"
Brow knitted, Graham stewed on this a little, his head bobbing a little as if listening to Saffron's response, although Saffron was very much invested only in the deep cleaning of her paw.
"Mm-hmmm," Graham agreed, none-the-less. "Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah....you know, you're probably right, some things truly are best left to the mystery of the ages...."
And he told himself that, but....well, secretly, he definitely still wanted to know.
Magpie Emporium is open!
