Trooper Station, Friday
Watts was, once again, perched on top of his desk. Cross-legged this time, feet not resting on the chair, because curled up in the chair was the station cat, and Watts knew better than to disturb a cat who'd claimed someplace to sleep.
He was also munching on a pretzel, a box of which had mysteriously shown up at his doorstep this morning. He had a notion as to who was responsible, of course, but there had been no time to test that notion before heading to work.
(The cat, for the record, had appeared briefly interested in the pretzel and so naturally Watts had held it out for her to try- she'd given it a careful sniff, then a lick, and then backed away as if she'd been horrifically offended. Of course.)

He was currently full, but it hadn't been necessarily enjoyable.

“Hmm?” he looked up at the sound of someone’s voice. “Ah. Yes. Soft pretzel. Have you tried these?”

"Something this time, so far as I can tell, sorely lacks." Or at least this little piece of the world did.

Cars were gonna be a surprise.

He realized he hadn't introduced himself.
"Hi, by the way. I'm Steve. Rogers."

Only partially true, since Steven had told him of the existence of one ‘America Captain’- but he hadn’t known there was one here to be introduced to and not on the moon or wherever.

"Not nearly so many as one would find in New York," Watts pointed out. "Or Toronto."

"What brought you here from New York?" Don't mind if his tone sounded a little less 'small talk' and a little more 'interrogation', Steve.

You know, in case Steve hadn’t guessed thanks to the suit (and hat, currently perched on the computer monitor).
