The Perk- Sunday
Kurt had been up early that morning because he had gotten a video call from the team back home. Well, more specifically, a call from The Professor and Storm to check in on him that was inevitably crashed by Logan and Scott, and a quick passing wave from Beast.
It had been good to see and talk to some of the team. It had been a long time. But... it also left him feeling a little homesick too, which was something he had not expected and wasn't quite sure how to deal with. After the call ended, Kurt headed out for a walk and ended up at the Perk.
So, Kurt was standing there at the counter, talking to the baristas for a bit as he tried to decide what he was in the mood for. Sweet and sugary of course but beyond that... Maybe there really was such a thing as too many choices!!

"Kurt! Hey!" Graham discovered in that moment it was hard to wave when double-fisting coffees and a bag of cookies, but he didn't let that stop him from trying! "How's it going?"
no subject
"Hey, Graham! It's going" he said before giving a small nod. "And you?" he said noting the drinks and bag.
no subject
"Not too shabby!" Graham was clearly pleased to report, then lifted up his current coffee shop gains. "Picking up a well-deserved treat for a successful flyer-ing weekend!"
His bar for success was very low.
no subject
"Ah yes, the flyers. Saw a few of them around yesterday" Kurt said. "The game night at the Magpie Emporium. Friday's wasn't it?"
no subject
probablyseveral copies he'd given Guillermo! "Friday nights! I figured that would work out well since I'll already be there for work!"Then he gave Kurt a speculative sort of look, especially considering that Guillermo had mentioned he might be, before asking, "Think you might be interested? I'll already got Guillermo on board! He's going to be playing....a vahhhmpiiire."
Yes, he had to say it like that.
Yes, he had to lift up his hands and droop them under hunched shoulders and bare his teeth like an old movie monster to emphasize the point, too.
With the requisite "Bleh!" of course.

"I'd love to be a part! I... would it be ok if I took my character from class and tweaked that a bit for our game? I don't know what creatures you had planned to include. I usually play wolfen or similar when I do get to play games like this." He looked at Graham and added. "But of course I can play with whatever characters you want to include!"
no subject
She might! But if she did, Graham felt that kind of expulsion would be like a badge of honor. And then they could go underground with their ill-gotten homebrew, go rogue like the shameless and unbridled deviants they truly were!
"A vampire and a wolven character? Sounds like a perfect pair!"
no subject
"What do you need me to do to get ready in the meantime? Anything we need to be brining or have with us? Other than ourselves, obviously" he said with a laugh.
no subject
Of course that required a big, dramatic sweep of his arms, though not as big and dramatic as it would have been if he didn't have to be mindful of the coffees and cookies in his hand. But he gave a bright, proud grin at what he felt was just a mere preview of the sort of dramatics that were in store ahead for the game.
"But anything else we need need should be at the store already," he added. "Oh! Except snacks. I heard somewhere that snacks are very important. Especially almonds."
Wow, Graham, careful not to hurt yourself on that deep ass cut there...

Graham could definitely get that distracted by snacks, it was true.
"What sort of things do you like to make, Kurt?"
no subject
"I make a lot of German dishes since that is where I am from and what I learned to cook. "I like to make a lot of different dishes. There's klopse, which are a type of meatball, maultaschen raviolis, bratwurst and currywurst sausages, all different kinds of kebabs, schnitzel which is breaded and fried meat steaks, spƤtzle noodles, reibekuchen which is fried potatoes, and of course breads and sweet rolls among other desserts!"
Were you sorry you asked Graham? This was just off the top of his head!
no subject
"Zoooooooouuunnnds," he said, a bit wide-eyed himself because that was an impressive list, even for him! And he'd been nodding along eagerly, increasingly more thrilled with each passing dish. "You're making me wish I got way more to eat than just cookies! And here all I can make, really, is choco-chip pancakes!"
He made one heckuva choco-chip pancakes, though!

"We can have request sheets at the game nights. Im sure between you, me, Guillermo, and whoever else might join in we can cover all the food basis easily!"
no subject
Because those were pretty much the specialties Graham would be bringing to the table.
"Or some other thing, if someone else joins. But, hey, speaking of which, you think you know anyone else who might be interested? Guillermo mentioned maybe you--and he was right!--and possibly Libby? I should definitely ask Gray, my roommate. He can probably provide waffles!"
no subject
no subject
No, Graham...no. That's....not how that worked.

"You know," Graham admitted, "I never thought about it like that! But I grew up with all sisters, so it would be like that, but reverse! She'd be the odd wo-man out! Unless any other girls are interested...
"Do you think any other girls would be interested?"
It did seem like a more-the-merrier type of situation, but he was new to all this, he wouldn't want it to get too overwhelming!

Course, Kurt had only ever done this sort of thing with small groups of like four or five anyways. So it was kinda how he was used to doing things mostly.
