With an apartment finally, Connor had spent the weekend getting the last of his few things moved over from the office. It didn't take long as he had little in the way of furniture to move. But it was good to have space and to finally have a place of his own so to speak.

"Sure is a nice place aint it Rex?" he asked as he finished getting the mattress into the bedroom. "Better than that cramped office. And now I at least don't have to worry about you sneaking off and getting into the butterfly house or something" he said with a laugh as he watched Rex explore the place a bit more.

"Aye, aye. I'll get you space set up soon enough," he said with a laugh as Rex chirped at him from the far side of the room. "It's a process, mate. Gotta respect the process!"

And so Connor spent the next half hour or so putting away the last of his things and making a list of the things he needed to get first to make the place complete. It was then that he turned around and realized Rex wasn't in the room with him any longer.

"Oiy Rexy! Where'd get off to mate?" Connor called out and the deafening silence made his stomach flip slightly.

Looking back towards the front of the flat, Connor realized he hadn't closed the door fully last time he had been in. He stared at the slightly ajar door and then heard an all too familiar chirping sound from out in the hallway. Running to the door he looked out just in time to see Rex scampering off down the hall towards the other flats.

"Rex! Get back here! I told Jon we wouldn't be any trouble, remember!?"

Connor started after the little green dragon and gave a leap to catch him and missed, landing face first on the carpeted hallway as Rex scurried further down the hall. This was not going to be as easy as Connor had hoped!
