Steve was on the phone to Honolulu, trying to get reservations for a laser tag day for he and Grace tomorrow while Danny was at the hospital. He figured that shooting things and running around would be a good way to distract her and give her a healthy outlet for her rage about years of parental lying (and he hated that he had experience for dealing with years of parental lying).

Paintball might also be an option, but after today's class, he was kiiiiiind of over paintball for the week.

The Trooper Station was open and ready to deal with your violent crimes!

Look, Jon tried to be a good landlord building manager, he really did. But there were limits, and breaking down doors was one of them, and given the local police didn't actually seem to be evil, bigoted assholes, he was damn well going to call them.

So the phone was ringing. Hello, station!

"Fandom Trooper Station, Lt. Cmdr. McGarrett speaking," Steve said, answering the phone.

"Hello. Um." Look, he was calling them, that didn't mean he wasn't going to be awkward about it. "This is Jonathan Sims, over at the MHA. It's, um. Somebody's broken into one of the apartments."

"Could it be someone who locked themselves out?" Steve asked.

"I would hope that if somebody locked themselves out, they would ask me to let them in," Jon said, a little annoyed, though not at Steve. "But it's Stark's apartment, and as I understand it, he is currently a koala."

Steve was jotting down notes. "If he turned back into a person without pants or apartment keys, he might not have wanted to bother you," he said, "but we can send someone over to check."

"I suppose it's possible," Jon acknowledged, "but I suspect he'd be more likely to pick the lock than actually break down the door. I would appreciate you checking, thank you."

"I'll let you know what we find," Steve said.

"Right. Thank you." Jon nodded as if Steve could hear him, and hung up.
