It was hot enough out that Buck was more than happy to wash the rig during his shift today. Sure, a lot of the time he was spraying water into the air so it landed on him, but the thing would get washed at some point.

He didn't really care much about getting his uniform wet, that's why he kept extra clothes around the station.

Hey, he had last week's shirt from Anakin's weird thing to deliver, so of course when Will got the chance to take a break from the clinic, he headed over to see Buck.

Just, uh. Don't mind the fact that he kind of... stopped a few paces away and was just watching Buck fool around with the water wash the rig instead of actually saying hello like a normal person.

By this time Buck kind of looked like a wet cat, but at least his uniform was still on. Had to maintain some professionalism.

"Hey, dude," Buck said, waving to Will with the hand he had the hose in, spraying water around. "It's crazy hot out here."

An adorable wet cat, though! Not that Will in any way thought of Buck as adorable, that would just be weird.

“I’ve noticed,” Will replied. “Which is why I’ve brought you… a sweatshirt, apparently,” he said, holding up his ‘prize’ from last week’s park thing.

"They made you wear a sweatshirt in August?" Buck asked. "And nobody died of heatstroke?"

“Or of being crushed by a table,” Will confirmed. “It was actually kind of impressive.” The lack of casualties, not the activity itself.

"Good thing there was a doctor around," Buck joked. "But I appreciate the shirt. Here I was worried I'd run out of tacky shirts to wear when it got cold."

"Glad to be of service," Will grinned at him. "Only a few more weeks of free shirts to go, but that's probably for the best. Your closet's probably overflowing by now."

"A little bit, yeah," Buck admitted. "Christopher thinks they're hilarious though, so I keep collecting them."

"You'll have to make sure to take pictures for him if Annie throws her Christmas party again," Will mused. "... Early on, though. Before everyone gets wasted." Christopher did not need to see the sorts of drunken shenanigans that happened at that party.

"Oh yeah! That was fun last year," Buck said. "Ugly Christmas sweaters are the best."

Of course he thought that.

"But you're right though, pictures should be taken before anyone throws up off a balcony."

"Or throws someone off a balcony."

It was Fandom. Either scenario was equally likely.

"Did that happen last year and I missed it somehow?" Buck asked.

"Not that I know of, but would you put it past some of the people here to try that?" Will pointed out. Especially given the number of people with superpowers who'd turn out just fine if tossed off a balcony.
