Magpie Emporium; Friday [08/12].

If Graham possessed any sort of context for this sort of thing, he'd realize that actually having pulled off three consecutive sessions of a D&D game without anyone having to cancel or not show up was practically a miracle of epic proportions. But, since he didn't, he was honestly feeling a little bad about having to miss last week on account of being a goose. Which, of course, meant that he was really hoping to make up for it this week.

He tried to get some stuff done around the shop, but, thankfully, there usually wasn't that much that needed doing, which was good, because he was definitely distracted, bouncing ideas off....himself, outloud, as he tried to tidy up the shelves or put some stock away or trying not to step on Saffron or Little Bot underfoot (there had been a few near misses there, although he half-wondered if Saffron was getting in his way on purpose more than a few times). But he had so many ideas and had figured out so many possibilities that he was getting excited just to get back into the game, which meant that the remainder of his shift was going to feel like it just draaaaagged on foreeever! UGH!

He wondered if he should look into some kind of time spell to help move Fridays along faster, but that did kind of feel like cheating, and, really, he wasn't that good at magic, he'd probably mess it up in a way that wound up making him an old man or something.

Although, if older him was a king...

Graham shook his head, and tried to reign his focus in on the here and now resolutely.

The Magpie Emporium is open!

Guillermo had been feeding Goose!Graham a lot of empanadas over the past week but he thought human Graham would like the chance to eat more so he came prepared with a whole lot of containers that had several different selections of empanadas this week.

“Hi,” he said shyly, trying to not feel too awkward about what had happened when Graham had transformed back.

It wasn’t going very well because he started to blush quite a bit.

Guillermo smiled at that, ducking his head slightly at the Emperor of Empanadas title, “they’re empanadas,” he assured Graham, “I thought you might like some fresh batches after the last week,”

Yes they were technically for everyone but Guillermo was very much only thinking of Graham right then and making sure he didn’t go into empanada withdrawal.

This week Jo had received a large parcel of sweets and chocolates from home to share so she was carrying a large box when she turned up this week, "hi," she smiled as she arrived.

Jo smiled brightly at that, she had never been called a queen of anything and she rather liked that, "I also have sweets from home as well," she told him, "I heard back from my dad, there's plenty to go round,"

"My week's been good thank you, how about you? I heard you got turned into a goose, are you okay?" Jo had been rather concerned at how many animal transformations seemed to be happening.

With her clinic shift and lunch with Kurt from yesterday and the D&D game today, Libby was definitely feeling like things were getting back to a regular pace after being a lamb for a week threw her off like that. Sans snacks (but she did bring some lemonade from the store to share since drinks were a little neglected in their usual snack offerings), she settled into her usual spot and carefully began to take out her dice and her notebook and her other things to get ready for what was in store for them this week...

...and she'd try very hard to not just picture Graham as a goose whenever he was trying to set up a scene or describe something (though she was mostly going to fail).

"Hey, Libs." Look, Libby, your roomie was alive! And much more cheerful than what you've had to live with the past few weeks.

Yeah, thankfully, idle listening to the broadcasts had assured Libby that, if she didn't see Vi here for the game tonight, she wouldn't have to jump to a missing persons report or anything.

"Hey, Vi," she said, with that drawling cautiousness of someone who wanted to ask questions but felt that was just being nosy and intrusive. Still, she did at least have to throw one out there, if only because she was curious about how she might answer.

"What've you been up to?"

While Vi was in a much better mood than the time they'd played, she was still kind of...let's just go with distracted.

Not so distracted she didn't bring snacks, even if they were a couple of different kinds of chip from the Kwik Stop.

"Yeah, things are going pretty great," Vi said with a grin. Was the grin for the title, the adventures, the things, who knew?

Kurt had arrived a bit late, and he looked as bad as he felt about it.
"Sorry I'm late! I fell asleep out on the deck and... well.." He gave a small apologetic shrug.

"Aye it was. It's really relaxing at the park when there's no one around but the ducks and flamingos" Kurt said with a grin.

Libby was definitely eager to get the game going, so she quickly picked up her d20 to roll it....once she remembered that, yes, that was the right one, after double-checking her stats for Perception.

"Oh! I got a 19!"

And she was pretty sure that was a good roll, and then waited to hear what that meant and what the others would get, too.

Jo carefully listened to the recap and then she picked up the dice that she needed and then rolled a 16.

“I got a 16, so Deirdre could see a fair bit right?” Jo asked with a tilt of her head, it had been a couple of weeks so she wanted to try and familiarise herself with the rules again.

Guillermo got his dice and eagerly threw the roll to see what would happen.

“Huh, I got a 4,” Guillermo had been hoping for a higher roll and tried to not sound to disappointed that it was really quite low.
