Magpie Emporium; Friday [08/12].
If Graham possessed any sort of context for this sort of thing, he'd realize that actually having pulled off three consecutive sessions of a D&D game without anyone having to cancel or not show up was practically a miracle of epic proportions. But, since he didn't, he was honestly feeling a little bad about having to miss last week on account of being a goose. Which, of course, meant that he was really hoping to make up for it this week.
He tried to get some stuff done around the shop, but, thankfully, there usually wasn't that much that needed doing, which was good, because he was definitely distracted, bouncing ideas off....himself, outloud, as he tried to tidy up the shelves or put some stock away or trying not to step on Saffron or Little Bot underfoot (there had been a few near misses there, although he half-wondered if Saffron was getting in his way on purpose more than a few times). But he had so many ideas and had figured out so many possibilities that he was getting excited just to get back into the game, which meant that the remainder of his shift was going to feel like it just draaaaagged on foreeever! UGH!
He wondered if he should look into some kind of time spell to help move Fridays along faster, but that did kind of feel like cheating, and, really, he wasn't that good at magic, he'd probably mess it up in a way that wound up making him an old man or something.
Although, if older him was a king...
Graham shook his head, and tried to reign his focus in on the here and now resolutely.

Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
“Hi,” he said shyly, trying to not feel too awkward about what had happened when Graham had transformed back.
It wasn’t going very well because he started to blush quite a bit.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
"Erm," he added, a moment later, "assuming that's what you brought, anyway. If you didn't, you can also be Emperor of those, too, if you want."
Even if it didn't have such nice alliteration.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
Yes they were technically for everyone but Guillermo was very much only thinking of Graham right then and making sure he didn’t go into empanada withdrawal.

Look, he'd been going over scenarios and scenes and speeches in his head all day at the shop while waiting for tonight, so it was clear he was geared up and ready to make up for the lack of theatrics last week with this session, and everyone was apparently not going to be getting a title (or at least the snack-bringers) if he could keep it up.
"How's your week been, Jo?"
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
"My week's been good thank you, how about you? I heard you got turned into a goose, are you okay?" Jo had been rather concerned at how many animal transformations seemed to be happening.

...and she'd try very hard to not just picture Graham as a goose whenever he was trying to set up a scene or describe something (though she was mostly going to fail).

"Hey, Vi," she said, with that drawling cautiousness of someone who wanted to ask questions but felt that was just being nosy and intrusive. Still, she did at least have to throw one out there, if only because she was curious about how she might answer.
"What've you been up to?"

Not so distracted she didn't bring snacks, even if they were a couple of different kinds of chip from the Kwik Stop.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
"Vi! The Chancellor of Chips!" he realized, beaming with pride, with a bit of a chuckle. "Of course! How's it going this week? Ready for more thrilling adventures?"

"Sorry I'm late! I fell asleep out on the deck and... well.." He gave a small apologetic shrug.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter -08/12.
His grin went a little wistful. "Was it at least a good nap?"

Graham's Table: Gameplay -08/12.
"So," he started, "where we left off, two weeks ago due to someone," he gave them all a faintly sheepish (but not, you know, Libby sheepish) and apologetic grin, "rudely deciding to be a goose last time, the evening at the tavern was not going quite as planned. The main act was running late, and tensions were starting to run high before Wind Over Surf confidently took to the stage to settle the masses with her rousing and engaging performance! Not everyone was so satisfied, though, with a brawl on the brink of being sparked before the show drew everyone's attentions away. But the man who started the fight was mysteriously frozen in place, and Amenken slipped out into the back to question the man he suspected was behind the timely halt.
"And while that's happening," his grin went a little more eager now, "something else is occurring in the tavern. A strong gust of a breeze, one slightly tinted with the pleasant floral aroma of spring flowers, rushes through the room, rustling everything that there is to be rustled, and promptly extinguishing the multitude of candles that keep the tavern cast in its warm, cheery glow. Even the fires crackling on in the fireplaces go out, plunging the room into a sudden, immediate darkness."
Graham quieted for a moment, as if letting that settle over the players for a moment, really wishing he'd thought to figure out how to dim the lights or something for added effect.
"But!" He then burst out to catch their attention back. "Before you can even think to start reacting to this sudden plunge into shadowy darkness, there is a burst of light, on the stage! There is a soft, slowly building strumming of strings that meld together like sonic gold, soon joined by a high, sweet voice, and then none other than the man of the hour himself, Montague Silverchord, descends from over the stage, perched on an elaborately designed crescent moon with his lute in his lap, singing one of his most popular and moving ballads as he's slowly lowered down from the rafters. He strums up the chords in sting that everyone all knows, so it shouldn't be a surprise that, when he hits that top note, a bunch of glitter and confetti burst down from above to add to the effect, and now you know, the real show....no offence, Wind," he nodded a grin at Vi, "has begun.
"And with that....I'd like you all to roll a perception check. Except you," a nod to Kurt, "Amenken, because you're still outside with the Freezer when this happens."
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay -08/12.
"Oh! I got a 19!"
And she was pretty sure that was a good roll, and then waited to hear what that meant and what the others would get, too.
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay -08/12.
“I got a 16, so Deirdre could see a fair bit right?” Jo asked with a tilt of her head, it had been a couple of weeks so she wanted to try and familiarise herself with the rules again.
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay -08/12.
“Huh, I got a 4,” Guillermo had been hoping for a higher roll and tried to not sound to disappointed that it was really quite low.
