Eric was at the bar tonight, enjoying a Manhattan expertly poured by Tiny and relaxing.

Tiny was creating an elaborate three-dimensional castle made entirely out of cocktail olives in a cabinet under the bar.

Eric was very much ignoring that.

The Devil's Nest was open!

"For a little while, then he found two partners," Eric said. "Seems to have settled down."

Look at Eric be confused about that.

"I hear those things do happen," Jaina said. Oops.

Eric grinned. "To some people, yes. Most of them I don't miss."

He missed you, Jaina. Maybe. A little.

"You'd better be talking about me or I'm walking out," she teased.

"Of course I'm talking about you. Drink?"

"Vodka soda," she said. "I don't even know that that was my drink last time I was here."

"No olive, right?" Eric said with a suspicious look at Tiny.

"Never olives anymore," Jaina said, not even looking over there. "Boring night?"

"It's picked up now," Eric said, "but it was very quiet at the start."

Thus olive castles.

"Did it pick up because of the olives?" Jaina wondered.

"I really hope not, but I can't be positive," Eric said.

"Honestly, if I still lived here, it might give me something to do," she pointed out.

"I'll wait for olive sculpture to be a class at the community center," Eric said.

"Oh no, too bad I'm not teaching next semester," Jaina deadpanned.

She didn't know yet. Funnier that way.

"I'll give you that idea for free," Eric said, smirking. "And I'll be the first one to sign up when you teach it."

"Co-teach or nothing," she said.

Eric chuckled. "Deal."

"Too bad class submissions are closed," Jaina said, mock-sadly.
