It was rare for shipments of new stock showed up on Wednesdays, and, usually, when it did, they were horrible, so maybe that trepidation had something to do with the instant relief and fondness when what Summer pulled out of the box was not, in her humble opinion, horrible at all, but, in fact, was just the opposite.

"Ohmygod," she said, almost immediately on seeing the bright colors and then sealing the deal by seeing what kind of booze it was, and tucked the bottle into herself. "I love this."

Love at first sight, in fact, but would that love withstand the test of tasting?

"Hold on," she told Tino, "I need the jello maker, I cannot leave this un-jello'd tonight, I will be right back, and I swear to god, if you do anything weird to this stuff while I'm gone, I will end you, Tino. And it won't be pretty. It will be gelatin related."

So she hurried off to fetch her auto-shot maker so that she could whip up a few good sangria shots to join the ones she'd made for the evening, garnishing them neatly with a few sangria gummies that she just happened to have lying around, because, um, excuse you, who didn't?

And then she was going to pour herself a glass before updating the specials board. Sure, she was working, but she was also practically immune to the first glass of sangria by now, so it was fiiiiiine.

Get on up and belt out a tune for zombies and drunks alike!

Where Summer apparently is not yet sick of sangria. Which is a good thing, because she also feels she might be needing to whip up more again here very soon....

Have a seat, enjoy your drinks, don't heckle the zombies, but, if you don't, don't be surprised if any loose body parts come flying your way.

Today there does seem to be a bunch of squirrels who think the stripper pole is a may pole, which doesn't even make sense, you guys, it's August, but okay.

I am honored that people see obnoxious boozy things and think of me. ♥.

It turned out that Goose wasn’t sick of Sangria either because he came up to his usual spot at the bar, tilted his head at the specials and blinked, “is that a different Sangria to what we had the other night?”

"It is a different sangria than the one we had the other night!" Summer confirmed, not even hesitating to pour Goose a glass and set it in front of him, along with one of the accompanying jello shots. "It's a new one for the bar that was delivered today, just look at the colors on this bottle. It so totally speaks to me on a deep level, even though, I mean, you lose it at the tug boat part, but still! There's also cute dolphins!"

He had telepathic dolphin friends! He should appreciate cute dolphins on a bottle, too!

Goose definitely appreciated the cute dolphins on the bottle and smiled at their image.

“You know they do actually kind of look like Icarus and Winter,” Goose considered with a tilt of his head.

It's sangria, it's pink, and there are explosions. I mean...

Rey blinked at the specials as she took her seat. "The cookie one doesn't seem bad?"

Look at that. Look! At! That!

And behold! Summer was seizing that opportunity and making sure Rey had a rainbow cookie one immediately.

"Because it's not bad," she assured her. "You know, statistically speaking, most of them aren't bad."

It was just that the ones that were bad were usually so bad that statistics didn't count for shit.

And so now Summer was having a closer look at the dolphins on the bottle.

"Awww," she concluded, "they sound adorable, then."

Liz was having one of her better weeks, so she decided she was feeling up to being social for a couple of hours at least and came up to the bar.

"I don't suppose you have a non alcoholic version of sangria?" Liz wasn't actually sure if there could be one but she figured it would hurt to ask first.

"They are," Goose smiled softly at that, he didn't really get to talk about Icarus and Winter that much, "they're pretty amazing, it's a shame they don't get to go on more missions," he considered.

"Not of that one, no," Summer admitted a little apologetically. "Those were a rush job that I used the auto-maker for, but I do have the auto-maker with me, so if you give me a few minutes, I don't know, I could pour some juice in there and it'll be....kind of the same?"

Now that she said it, she realized that would probably definitely work.

"Actually, no, let's do that, give me just a second and we'll have some juice variant virgin shots. Not exactly the same, but, it'll maybe do?"

"I mean," said Summer, "I assume they need to be in water most of the time, right? So that could make it a little difficult, unless someone developed, oh, I don't know, some sort of dolphin-specific space suit for them...."

And now she was picturing space dolphins with bubble-type helmets on them, and it was amazing, and she was definitely jotting that down to try and slip onto Barry's currently mile-long to-do list of projects now.

Liz really had no idea but she trusted Summer so she nodded, “okay I can definitely do that," she said, "and it will be something new as well to try," she considered.

"They do need to be in the water," Goose admitted, "the last mission they went on, there was a special pod set up for them so we could transport them," he paused, "they don't have their own space suits though, it would be handy though,"

"Yeah," Summer agreed, "they should really work on that. So how're you feeling, Goose? Saturday didn't hit you too hard, did it?"

The combination of Friday and Saturday had hit Summer like a brick, to be honest, but that's what Sunday were for.

So Summer took a moment to consider what sort of juices might best resemble the sangria for the evening (after a testing sip from her glass to remind herself, of course), and then grabbed what she needed to pour into the little insta-shot maker she'd brought from home.

"So," she said, while it did its thing, which was remarkably quick, so it wasn't long before a few pieces of dark red jello were set down in front of Liz, "how's it going this week, Liz?"

"I think my healing factor took care of most of it, even though Sunday was a little a rough," he admitted, "but I think I needed that ... the talking things out I mean," he clarified, "I mean the alcohol helped as well," he admitted, "and thank you for ... for listening," he told her, "it helped,"

"The alcohol," said Summer, a little wryly, because, well, she tried not to be, but she was her mother's daughter (and her mother was definitely her father's daughter), "always helps. And so does the listening ear, but, I mean, seriously, dude, you don't even need the alcohol for that. I never mind listening when someone needs it. I mean, I will be offering unsolicited opinions about all of it, but that's just part of the exchange, you know?"

“This week has felt pretty good,” Liz told her, “it’s …I’m feeling a lot more focused than I have been, I’ve actually been sleeping recently,” she paused and hesitated for a bit, “and I’ve started to notice that my clothes are getting a little tight,” she admitted.

"I mean," said Summer, who felt there were several jokes she could go for there, but felt pretty proud of the one she ended up latching onto, "you are living with Dr. Lecter now, right? I think anyone would run into that problem around him."

Goose smiled at that, “it’s … I’m definitely not used to talking about feelings in general,” he admitted, “especially about Ignis and Walsh and well everything,” he paused, “but it did feel good, being able to talk about it freely,"
