Well, the 'issue' with the post from Monday hadn't been resolved. Which meant it was now on Danny's desk.

"There's not enough coffee for this," he tried telling a deeply disinterested Ralph.

Well, at least he could say he was busy with this today.

Steve squelched into the office wearing a hideous Bigfoot eating a hotdog Hawaiian shirt and covered in pudding.

"Well, that was a thing."

"I'm not cleaning any of that up," Danny said as the troopers wisely made themselves scarce to not have to clean it either.

"Neither's Skywalker," Anakin said dryly.

Danny sighed and reached into the drawer of his desk to fish out a towel for him. Because damn it, he kept towels on hand at the office because of Hawaii.

That was to catch a totally gnarly wave, brah.

"Mahalo," Steve said, toweling his hair off.

[hatesparadise]

"I really hope your next stop is to take a longer than five minute shower," Danny informed him.

[grenadesandohana]

"Yep," Steve said. "Do you want me to bring coffees back?"

[hatesparadise]

"That would be appreciated since I'm now investigating your upside down pole--that is not a euphemism," he said before Steve could even make the joke.

Steve was snickering anyway, running his hand over his two week growth of beard.

"And wash that stubble!"

He bought you beard care gunk out of self defense, Steve.

"Sir, yes, sir!" Steve barked back, waving one hand over his head.

And leaving pudding footprints all through the office.

Danny stared at them for a moment longer. Then one of the troopers magically rematerialized with a mop and bucket that was just helpfully left in the doorway before disappearing again.

"Thanks a lot!" Danny shouted. "Really, feelin' the love here!"

"Love you too!" Steve said, ignoring the tone.

He was so lucky that Danny loved him, damn it. Because now he had to mop up pudding.

Out of love. That he'd probably express by mocking Steve's attempted beard when he returned, but still.

Well, that was how they showed love: relentless teasing.

Steve returned a half hour later, pudding free, beard conditioned, and carrying two giant coffees.

And nothing for useless Troopers who don't clean.

Which earned him a little wolf whistle.

"Clean up nice," Danny said, putting the mop away.

[grenadesandohana]

Steve grinned. "Thanks, D."

[hatesparadise]

"One of those better be for me." And not for any of the troopers. The jerks.

"Of course," Steve said, handing one over. "I would've drunk it along the way if I wasn't bringing enough to share."

[hatesparadise]

"Thank you," Danny said, giving him a little kiss on the cheek as the extent of his PDA while in the office.

"You're very welcome," Steve said, sitting down at his desk. "Now tell me about your pole problem."

Hee.

[hatesparadise]

"I hate you so much," Danny replied, taking his coffee away before Steve could take it back.

"No you don't," Steve said with surety.

[hatesparadise]

"I might," he grumbled.

[grenadesandohana]

"But I brought you coffee," Steve countered.
