Eddie had hurried on out of the house once Christopher had gone off to school. But not because he was raring to get to work, but because there were some weird boxes just lingering around that he certainly hadn't put there.

But the joke was on him because they were at the station too.

Hence him ignoring the confetti to attempt to put them away in the supply closet. Out of sight, out of mind!
