Trooper Station, Friday

Yesterday's restlessness had eventually translated into sleeplessness, and so it was an exhausted Watts that stumbled his way into his office at the Trooper Station on Friday. After placing his hat on the corner of his computer monitor, he all but collapsed into his desk chair.

He'd only been sat down for what seemed like a minute before he felt his eyelids begin to droop. He was startled back awake, however, when the hand he'd been resting his cheek on slipped, leaving him suddenly without support.

This just wouldn't do. He thought about asking one of the Troopers to do a run to the Perk (yes, the station had coffee, but the less said about that the better), but quickly dismissed that idea. Most of them were already out on patrol, and Ralph... well. Let's just say Ralph wasn't allowed to make Perk runs anymore. For reasons.

He gave the space under his desk a speculative look. There was just enough space-

Shrugging out of his suit jacket, he bundled it into a makeshift pillow and curled up on the floor underneath the desk. Just a few minutes of shut-eye, then he'd be right as rain...

Steven looked at Llewellyn thoughtfully. "Depends on how it's being used, I suppose. You've things you take an interest in. Topics you're passionate about. Far as that goes, maybe. Wouldn't insult you with it though."

Not that he'd ever insult Llewellyn with anything, but Steven suspected this was more a general question about how Llewellyn was perceived than how Steven saw him specifically.

"I was unaware it could be used as an insult," Watts admitted. "Miss Gingrich only explained the term to me yesterday when I went to give her the playlist I had compiled."

Which, yes, could have been a text. But then he couldn't say hi to the dice!

"I keep meaning to stop by," Steven said. Perhaps when forces outside of Fandom didn't conspire to make that difficult. "Did she say you were?"

"I like it there, even if I don't really know what most of what she sells is all about," Watts confessed. "But no, she didn't describe me so much as herself and those who patronise her shop as such."

"I see," Steven said as the pieces fell into place. "Yes, Steph and her friends definitely. Specific interests, you see? She likes her gaming and her music. You - depends on the point of view, I think. You like mysteries but that's your job. You like wine but there's already a word for that."

"Oenophile, yes," Watts said with a nod. "But I've also an interest in languages, and philosophy. So I got to wondering if those qualified."

"It could," Steven said. "Of course there's a word that works better, if you ask me."

[pocketpretzels]

"Oh?"

Steven grinned at him. "Mine."

"You know, I think you're right," Watts said, after pretending to think about it for a moment. "That's a very apt descriptor."

"I would know," Steven said. "After all I'm very learned on the topic. Passionate about it as well."

Well, that deserved a kiss.

"Funny, how we were just discussing what someone who is learned and passionate about a topic might be called," Watts said with a smile when he pulled away.

"It's a fair cop," Steven said, glad for the kiss. "Long as I get to be called yours as well."

"You are very much mine, Steven Grant," Watts assured him.

Well that made Steven bold enough to lean over the desk and try to give Llewellyn a kiss in return, if he was able.

Given that the person he was leaning over to kiss was certainly willing, he was absolutely successful in that attempt, yes.

Well then Steven was going to be cheeky and sneak two before he sat back. "Feeling better?"

"Much improved," Watts confirmed. "You are a wonder."

[hasaknightjob]

"Were you not sleeping well?" Steven asked. "I haven't gone contagious, have I?"

"I don't think that's the sort of thing one can catch," Watts told him, slightly puzzled. "And besides, this is hardly the first time I haven't had a restful night. Just happens, time to time."

"Only last night?" Steven asked. "For me it was Tuesday."

[pocketpretzels]

"If we're speaking of recently, yes, just last night," Watts confirmed. Though now he was giving Steven a careful once-over. "You're all right now, then?" he checked. Though he was still going to reach out and fiddle needlessly with the collar of Steven's shirt.

As far as Steven was concerned there was no such thing as a needless reason for Llewellyn to touch him in any capacity. "Just the one night. No idea why. Day was lovely. That's the bit I was going to tell you about before, actually."

Worked out well, as Watts rather liked having the barest excuse to touch him.

"Oh?" he said, leaning forward. "Go on, fill me in."

Horrible fate, putting up with Llewellyn touching him. "Right, starters - finally got to tell Lana about Marc and me. No problems there. Concerns like Stark had but pretty sure she's all right with it now."
