Diaz & Ass.; Monday [09/26].
Guests flooding the island meant that Rosa had definitely planned on making herself scarce so she didn't have to deal with anyone, especially if someone had shown up to see her (had anyone? She didn't know. Nor did she care, as long as they hadn't caused any trouble for her). Having to deal with Miguel's brother showing up was more than enough, although that was fine. She probably wouldn't say it outloud, but she did like Gabriel, and, besides, she and Tightpants got to bond over putting lunch meat on his face so that Anna would slobber all over him while he slept on the couch.
It was the little things, really, that kept the romance alive after all these years.
But for now, it was back to the office, back to work, and back to dealing with a squirrel, apparently, trying to convince her to take a job. Or, at the very least, an interest in something, which was even more unlikely.
"Why would I care about some guy just randomly showing up and being whisked away to the clinic?" she asked it. "That happens all the time here. Besides, I don't work for acorns, anyway."
At which point the squirrel produced a little mini-bottle of rum and waved it temptingly in the air, and Rosa....considered.
She might be willing to work for rum.
She'd at least think about it if there was going to be rum.
Diaz & Ass. is open!
