Right, so Steven was a little late getting to work that morning. For reasons. But they were holiday related reasons and he could have asked for the day off, couldn't he? Came in to work anyway. Can't be faulted for not being exactly on time then, right?
Ahem.
Since he was at work, Steven set up a display on the front desk of a basket with apples in it and another basket with small jars of honey. He put a sign in front saying visitors could help themselves with wishes for a sweet new year.
That done, Steven sat behind the desk and helped himself to an apple. He might not have had time to have a proper breakfast before leaving. He wasn't complaining though.
