"In celebration of the school trip next week," Summer began the class with absolutely no regard for the feelings of anyone who might be missing out on said trip, try harder on your mooching next time, "we're going to do something a little bit different with our inspiration cupcakes this week…"

“Nothing too horrifying,” Stark said. “Unless something terrible happened when I wasn’t looking. Which could happen. It happened all summer. But we have some cupcakes inspired by France. At least they’re meant to be inspired by France. I don’t really know enough about France to say if they are. But here they are,” he continued, lifting the first cloche to reveal the French 75 inspired cupcake, followed by the wine and cheese cupcake, and finally, the brie and fig cupcake. “The last one is more of a muffin, really,” he said with a slightly disapproving expression. It looked and sounded delicious but was it really a cupcake?

"It might be more of a muffin," said Summer, "but at least it's not a monstrosity this time. And with that, everyone? Your time starts…now."

What? She just really liked saying that!

What can you pull out of your ass with the ingredients pulled out of your basket? Inspired by the cupcakes, the boozy details that must be included in your dish are Zinfandel red wine, a nice floral gin, a bottle of champagne, some brie cheese and some random figs.

Santé! Errr, bon appétit!

Steve was back from his much-delayed appointment with Peggy, which meant everything French was reminding him of the war.

Frenchie would be appalled at Steve's concoction: a vanilla cupcake stuffed with brie cheese and a red wine and fig jam, iced with a French 75 cocktail inspired frosting and sugary lemon peels.

It would've been more impressive if he hadn't straight-up scorched the cupcakes. He was prepared to call it "Mistakes Were Made."

Hannibal eyed it all and shrugged. "It seems to do quite well as is," he noted. "And even if the figs aren't the highest quality, if you've had the wine, gin, and champagne already, you're unlikely to notice."

And just how drunk will your judges be after they give them a try? Bonus points if you speak in a terrible French accent that will go right over Stark’s head.

"Right, so I just kind of got stuck on 'cupcake' and so I made a cupcake," Steve admitted, putting forward his weird little dessert. "It's vanilla with brie cheese and a red wine and fig jam--" that had definitely gone past jam and into glue, "--with a gin, champagne and lemon frosting like that fancy French cocktail I once had only the gin had been made in a bathtub and the champagne was from 1938."

Steve's life was odd.

"It looks a bit...overdone," Stark said, looking at the cupcake critically.

"But the frosting looks good." And boozy!

"I got a little distracted," Steve admitted.

"That's alright." As long as nobody was forcing Stark to eat anything horrifying (like, say, a fish cupcake) he was fine. "It can happen. You still made something."

That was probably even edible. The frosting definitely looked it.

"Seems to be my week," Steve said a little wryly. "Try my best, things catch fire anyway."

They’re here and possibly not even traumatized by the evening’s offerings.

Stark was still feeling a little torn on that fig 'cupcake.'

He'd still eat it though.

Summer was definitely the opposite of traumatized right now, because...well...booze.

Honestly, this boded very well for the trip coming up, if at least half the cupcakes they found that were evocative of France involved alcohol of some kind.
