The Photo Hut; Monday [10/10].
Prompto kind of wished he could note how quiet it was since everyone was on the school trip, but, well, it was the Photo Hut, it was always kind of quiet.
But knowing that this was the week of the school trip, he was feeling a little nostalgic about his own slew of school trips and all the memories that came out of them. Everything from that very first one, where they went to Greece and wound up in the past, to that last one in Africa where he and Liz probably took as much time taking pictures of each other taking pictures as they did the actual animals. He had to grin a little bit at the memories, and marvel a little over the fact that, technically speaking, even though ten years had passed, that trip to Kenya had actually been the last trip before this one. Time really was weird....and wont to give him a headache if he thought about it too much.
So there was a lot of daydreaming, remembering, and thinking going on in between the work at the Photo Hut that day, which was fine, because it wasn't like there was a whole lot to do anyway, as well as the realization that, even if he did start teaching again in the spring semester, it was probably going to be a while before he got to indulge in one of those trips like he used to with a newborn in the picture.

The Photo Hut is open!

“Hi,” she smiled as she entered carrying the tray of coffee, “how has your morning been?”
She knew most people had gone on the trip but she thought it wouldn’t hurt to check in case she had missed a big rush and it had been really busy.

But, no, it had been just as quiet in the Photo Hut, but that didn't stop Prompto from grinning over at Liz and shaking his head as if still recovering. "Oh," he assured her, "swamed. I'm surprised I've even been able to catch my breath, we've been so busy. At one point, I even thought I'd have to call Rain down to help, because I could really use the extra set of hands..."
Here, his grin went a little crooked. "Well," he amended, "paws, I guess. And how was your morning? Good walk?"

“Oh and I picked this up for you at the Perk,” she smiled as she haded the tray towards Prompto, “I got you a large pumpkin spice latte,”

And then he chuckled as his smile turned grateful as he took the tray out of her hands and set it down while plucking up his drink, then stood up so he could lean over to complete the exchange properly with a kiss on the cheek. "Pumpkin spice sounds awesome right now," he said. "Thank you."

Her smile widened as Prompto leaned in to kiss her cheek, “you’re welcome,” she told him, picking up her own small cappuccino, “I thought you might like a coffee break,”

"To a well-earned coffee break," he announced, "on another insanely busy day." He grinned over at her as he brought his cup in to touch it against hers with a little "Clink!"
And, with that very important little toast, he took a sip of his latte, melted a little into it with a hum of appreciation, and then set it aside momentarily so he could push himself up on the counter facing her in the chair.

Her smile widened when he pushed himself up on the counter so he was facing her, “hi,” she giggled.

Prompto took his own moment to just grin back at her adoringly, leaning forward a little with his cup cradled in both his hands between his knees.
"How's it going?"

His foot went out to give her knee a little nudge.
"Definitely no complaints."

At least she hoped it would be quiet and she hadn’t just tempted fate or anything like that.

Especially now that his own thoughts seemed to be increasingly remembering long-buried plans of his own on this particular subject, now that he was back, now that they were together again, now that they had a daughter on the way...
His smiled had definitely softened quite a bit.
"I don't think I ever really knew Diego much," he admitted, "but Annie was always great. And I know Gladio wouldn't miss it..."
Especially since they suspected that was the whole reason he was even here now in the first place.
"We were talking about maybe going shopping, later this week," he added, "since he really doesn't have any clothes."
And neither did he, really; he didn't exactly leave any nice wedding clothes behind when he met, and he had to admit, even the clothes he had left behind fit him a little tighter than they had before.
Gotta love that decades-long daemon-hunting bulk-up.

Her smile widened, “clothes shopping does sound good,” she said, “Dr. Lecter and Summer took me maternity clothes shopping last month, just before you came back actually, I did get a few dresses there,” she considered what clothes she did have that she could wear to a wedding.

"Maybe," he suggested, "you'll just have to show me. What you've got. What I can maybe match. A few of the right accessories can go a long way, too..."

Another thought struck him, making his grin slightly askew.
"Maybe get a few pictures."

"After dinner sounds perfect."

"The White Album?" he suggested. "Seems fitting, if it's for a wedding."
Plus, that one had a good deal of his own personal favorites, if he remembered correctly.

Prompto's face lit up with a certain pride that his memory had served him well in that choice and just basked, for a moment, in that newfound feeling of things (even little things) actually going well for him for a change.
"Then I think," he declared, remembering his coffee and taking a triumphant sip, "we have a plan."
