Summer was looking over some of the vodka flavors of the bottles that Tino had ordered in recently, with a sort of....introspective look on her face. Obviously, these would all be very useful and helpful for creating some new and interesting shots, but she was definitely coming to terms with the idea that just because you could, didn't necessarily mean you should...

Until the whiskeys arrived.

"Oooooh, is that beaver musk gland???"

“So I checked and I do still have the karaoke equipment,” Goose said by way of greeting as he sat down at his usual spot, “for the …” he lowered his voice to a whisper “secret event”

Despite any encouragement that might have happened to the contrary, that karaoke stage was not happening. What was happening was Billy walking up and taking a seat, with a raised eyebrow and a somewhat concerned look at Summer as he glanced back at the specials sign.

"Hey Summer, how's it going? You all survived France I see" he added with a smirk.

Honestly? If he didn't still have it? Summer was really going to wonder what the hell could have happened to it, but also....Fandom.

She nodded, very secret, very serious, and started setting out a row of shots for Goose, because of course he was going to have them.

"I'll swing by tomorrow to pick it up? Or maybe I'll send Sidon or Gladio so I don't have to carry it. Ooh, or you could carry it. It needs to get to Furnado, either way. I could also just portal it, actually...No, no. Definitely have one of you big massive dudes carry it. Portals around pets just sounds dangerous."

"Oh, shit!" said Summer, wincing slightly and looking disappointed in herself. "I was totally going to wear a beret today, and I forgot! Dammit! That was going to be such a good callback!"

And hello to you, too, Billy.

Summer sighed, shaking her head in personal disappointment, before her attention finally went to Billy. "It's going well, we did survive, even if I just killed a really good bit. How were things here? And what can I get for you?"

Eh can't hit the mark every single time....

"Things were dead here honestly," Billy said with a small laugh. "And let's go with some jello. But umm hold off on that last one (for now) not sure I'm quite ready for THAT."

"I mean, to be fair," said Summer, dutifully setting up the trio in front of Billy, "kim chi can be a lot to work up to even without the booze and gelatin. But definitely let me know if you change your mind."

Goose would wonder the same thing but then the last time he had actually remembered seeing it was back in April so his memory wasn’t the most reliable in this case.

“I could definitely carry it,” he offered, “that’s not a problem, is there a particular time you want me to bring it around to Furnando’s tomorrow?” he checked.

"Honestly," said Summer with a shrug, "it doesn't even need to be tomorrow, just as long as it's there by Saturday."

"Dealing with a sweet tooth, are we?" Lucifer asked, as he settled at the bar.

Billy nodded and grabbed the first shot and lifted it in a small toast.

"So, any juicy gossip to share from the trip?"

"Hmm?" Summer's head tilted a little, before she considered the specials board and then shook her head. "Oh, no," she said, "but that's a fair assumption. I was just trying to feel some fall flavors maybe a little off the expected path, and that's just where I wound up."

She then gave him a smile. "How've you been, Lucifer? Can I get you the full set?"

"Of course," Lucifer said, with a light nod. "And... distracted. Mainly. But well."

Having a ~~work-eaten mun~~ depressed partner in the house all day, every day had a way of getting into your own head, too.

"And yourself?"

"Nothing too out of the ordinary," Summer shrugged, sounding maybe a little disappointed. "No one got thrown overboard or investigated by Interpol. Even the rooming drama seemed a little light this year, although I am very pleased with the results of my room party."

"Distracted by what?" Summer asked, because, hello, of course she would. "And I've been good. Busy! Lots of party shit, so you know I've been pretty much living my best life. I might even get a small break in the party action in November, but that leads right into the Christmas rager, so it'll be pretty short lived."

"Ah, so a week or two to sleep and be generally useless," Lucifer said, nodding, "All the better to recharge for a rager of epic proportions. I look forward to it already."

He was just going to ignore the question.

"You didn't use the drinks that Kitty was trying last night, did you?" Stark asked as he approached the bar.

"The squirrels made them sound terrible. Or they made themselves sound terrible. Maybe both."

"I mean," said Summer, gesturing behind her at the bottles, "they're still here if you wanted to try some, and we've got some new whiskeys in today, but, yeah, no, I start the jello shots early in the morning, so unless I'm actually here on a Tuesday, I usually don't get the chance to know what's here in time to use them. But...."

She gave him a slightly overly sweet smile.

"It's good to have some new inspiration. How are you, Stark? What can I get for you?"

Ignored question duly noted, Summer gave a small, offended little gasp, hand to her heart, before she finally got to setting out the shots for him. "Excuse you, Mr. Morningstar," she said. "I am never useless."

She made a point of it, actually.

Almost obsessively.

"And I'm looking forward to seeing you there. It is, after all, iconic."

"You should try being useless for a bit, it's very therapeutic," Lucifer told her. "But I will be there, of course. I may even try to get the partners to go with me."

Depending on how Duke was doing by then.

"I do not want to try some," Stark said very quickly, taking a half step back away from the bar.

He would have a hard time not giggling about the beaver one after a few jello shots though, so keep that in mind, Summer.

"What's kim chi?" he asked. Travis would be so disappointed in him for not knowing it was Korean.
