Look who remembered he had an actual job! Eliot had been hanging around either the mainland or the house on Apocalypse Avenue in various states of inebriation for the better part of a month, and was deeply hungover when he finally managed to wander his way back into the Magic Box for his shift.
Which would explain why he was spending most of his shift sprawled out dramatically on the floor. In case you needed more explanation than "because Eliot".
[I'm on vacation and am thus fully in vacation-brain mode despite not actually going anywhere or doing anything for said vacation. So . . . SP warnings in full effect, but otherwise this post is OPEN!]
