The Photo Hut - Tuesday

Liz was planning on finishing early today since she wanted to be able to spend more time with Prompto since it was his birthday and she had also made a reservation for Cafe Fina. She figured she could start a bit earlier than normal and finish around lunchtime.

Even though she was finding it harder to concentrate thanks to all the black cats that seemed to be around the store that day, so she was definitely taking a few photos to send to Hellboy since she knew he would love seeing the photos.

In between taking photos of the black cats she was spending most of the shift organising the photos that she had taken from Prompto’s party and choosing which ones she wanted to put on her memory boards, they had turned out really well and she was definitely happy with how the puppy photos had turned out. She was definitely going to be putting a lot of the puppy photos on there.

Steven came by in the morning. Not too early in the morning, it was Steven after all, but morning all the same. "Hello, Liz! How are you?"

Liz smiled when Steven came in, putting down the photos she was organising, “Steven hi, I’m good thank you,” she told him, “how are you?”

"I'm all right," Steven said. He came over and put a box from J, GoB on the counter. Inside were cookies frosted to look like puppies. "Here. For Prompto, it being his birthday and all. Thought he might like it given his party."

Liz smiled as she took a look at the box and saw the cookies, "thank you, I'll definitely make sure he'll get it, he'll love them," well she hoped he would but she knew he did love the food from JGoB.

"This was nice of you, did you and Detective Watts have a nice time at the party?" She had spoken to Detective Watts a little bit but she had mostly let Steven and Prompto talk so they could get to know one another so she hadn't really spoken to Steven much at the party.

"We did, yeah," Steven said. "Cheers for the invitation. It was good meeting Prompto. I can see why you care so much for him. He's a good man. It's clear he's over the moon about you as well."

Which Steven was happy about on many levels. Liz deserved someone wonderful who adored her.

Liz smiled at that, “I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves and that you were able to talk to Prompto,” she had been a little nervous how that was going to go but for the first meeting she had been pleased that it had gone rather well, “he’s so wonderful, it’s all been amazing since he’s been back, I’m sorry it took so long to introduce you,”

The party may not have been the best choice but it did seem to work out in the end.

"However long you needed to feel right about it," Steven told her. "That's the important bit. If you'd needed longer I'd have been fine with that as well, I promise you. Speaking of parties, though, are you available 19th December?"

Liz smiled, “I’m glad I was finally able to introduce the both of you to each other,”

Then she considered Steven’s question.

“I’m not too sure at this point,” Liz admitted, as she tried to think if there were any plans at this point, “even though I don’t think I have anything on,” she added.

"Yeah, I know it's early days," Steven said. "But holidays being what they are figured get a save the date in at least? Llewellyn and I are having a Hanukkah party that night. Nothing fancy, everyone welcome. Would obviously love to have you and Prompto there if you can make it. And the little one, of course. Not sure if she's plans of her own for that night."

Steven smiled since obviously at that stage any plans the baby had would require Liz there as well.

Liz knew the anniversary of the time loop and everything with Travis was right around that time as well but she was hoping now that she had settled and she had gotten through the worst week with the anniversaries that she would be able to cope a lot better this time round.

“That does sound lovely, I can ask Prompto and check to make sure there’s nothing else on?” Liz tilted her head and then down at her bump, “even though I suppose I can’t really guarantee anything at that point can I? She may decide a party is too much for her, especially with how far along she’ll be,” she gave a smile as she placed a hand on her bump.

"No offense taken if you can't make it," Steven promised. "I know it's a busy time of year. Wild how fast things are going, isn't it? Feels like only yesterday you knew she was here at all, doesn't it?"

“I know, these last five months have just flown by,” Liz said with a smile, “I mean, I feel like she’s going to be here before I know it,” she said fondly.

"Things going all right getting ready for her?" Steven asked. "How's the crib? I've not asked you about that in ages, I'm sorry."

“That’s okay its coming along really well, I really need to get back and visit Amaya to do some more work on it,” Liz admitted, “the last couple of weeks have been rather busy but we’ve been making some good progress, we should be on track to finish it before she’s born,” she smiled.

"Understandable you'd be busy with Prompto back," Steven said. He gestured towards Liz's stomach. "Bet she'd be all right with it, you welcoming home her dad."
