"It's nearly Halloween," Stark said. "So we have some October and pumpkin themed cupcakes today. But not our scariest cupcakes."

Was that because the scariest cupcakes were yet to come? Or because they had already been used? Who could say.

"They might still inspire some nightmares," said Summer, "but, hopefully, you'll be able to turn them into a dream."

Yes, she was very proud of that one, thank you, and, after a moment to let everyone appreciate it, she reached for the cloche to remove it to reveal your inspiration: a little Oktober Fest with some beer and sauerkraut cakes, and some traditional miso pumpkin ones! With adorable cat faces on them and everything!

"Everyone, open your baskets. Your time begins….now!"

Inside your baskets, you will, of course, find an Oktoberfest beer, a jar of sauerkraut, pumpkin puree, white miso, and…..cats.

Black cats, specifically, crawling out of each basket with a meow the moment it was opened.

They were freaking everywhere today!

And one teacher was freaking out and yelling “those are not ingredients! No cooking cats!” No bonus points for guessing which one.

"Can I just drink the beer?" Steve asked.

No, Steve.

"You can drink whatever's left of what you use for the dish," Summer informed Steeeeve, as much as she just wanted to say yes. "If there's no beer in the dish, then there's a good chance.....you may be chopped."

But she wanted to say that part even more.

Steve nodded, cracking his knuckles unnecessarily. "Have you ever had sauerkraut cake?"

Steve. Steve, no.

"But I do actually know a recipe for--" Right. Twenty-first century. Maryland. Probably not going to go over well.

Instead, he was heading to the pantry to find some sausages. Was it an expected route? Yes. Was it expected because it was delicious? Also yes, so...

"For... no." Stark shook his head. "Don't tell me. I don't want to know."

He had a guess. A correct guess. It didn't need to go further than that. These cats were not for eating at this time.

"Yeah, let's--let's forget I said anything there," Raiden agreed.

They were so cute! (And delicious? Gluttony suggested, and Raiden firmly told it, No.)

Stark understood very well that sometimes you had to eat what was available even if what was available was cute and fluffy. This was not one of those times.

"I can do that."

It was a good thing that the no cooking cats had been specified because it would have ended badly for everyone otherwise.

Even though Goose was finding it rather difficult to concentrate because of said cats and he was forgetting that he was supposed to be preparing a dish instead of playing with the cats.

Hannibal sighed, lifted the cats out of the basket, and went to get some meat to distract them while he worked.

You will get bonus points if you prepared something for the cats as well.

They may be distracted by cats though.

To the surprise of no one, Stark was distracted by the cats. He was spending a lot of time crouching down to pet them.

Summer wasn't actually distracted by the cats as she was the amount of cat hair that was going to inadvertently make it into some of those dishes today, despite efforts to the contrary.
