Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey hadn't finished her lightsaber yet. It was very close, though, and between that and the talk of cha gong the warehouse done, she was running the course like always, but it felt like the last time she was doing things as is. Like even if the warehouse was the same next week, she'd have a change that felt like she was entering a whole new phase in a way that defeating Palpatine hadn't.

She was sentimental like that.

Anakin came swooping into the warehouse. Partially because cape but mostly because Anakin. "Rey?"

"Yeah," she called from somewhere near the wall.

"Did you get a cape too?"

Anakin loved his.

"Yes! I don't need to be dramatic."

That was for Kylo Ren.

Anakin grinned. "But it's fun."

[thatwaslucky]

"A little," Rey admitted, right till she got to the wall, and sighed.

And then stopped to tie the bottom of the cape into a little knot so it wouldn't trip her up.

"You could practice your dramatic cape dropping technique, too," Anakin teased.

[thatwaslucky]

"I could never match you," she teased, starting the climb down.

[sith_happened]

"That's because you haven't practiced," Anakin teased back.

[thatwaslucky]

"After this," she said.

Not that it took her very long to make it to the ground to finish. She was fast at that.

"Hello there," Anakin said, smiling.

[thatwaslucky]

"Hi," she said. "Had to get a run in."

[sith_happened]

"That's why it's set up for you," Anakin said. "Take your time."

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm good for now," she assured him. "But I might also stay later today."

"How's the lightsaber going?" Anakin asked, smiling.

[thatwaslucky]

"Almost done," she said, reaching to untie the cape. "I just didn't want to come here using it until I'd tested some things, just in case."

[sith_happened]

"That makes sense," Anakin said with a nod.

[thatwaslucky]

"So as long as that goes well, this will be my last time here with this lightsaber," she said.

Anakin grinned. "I have every faith in your abilities."

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you. And maybe I'll actually leave the apartment this week," she joked.

[sith_happened]

"Small, achievable goals," Anakin teased back.

[thatwaslucky]

"I did leave to get coffee once," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Did it stay coffee?" Anakin asked. "Mine turned into something red and sickly sweet."

[thatwaslucky]

"No, it changed and it was disgusting," she said. "I owe myself a real drink still."

[sith_happened]

"I was talking to Jane and she said my entire mouth had turned red."
