The Junkyard, Wednesday
Right. So it wasn't raining anything weird, or full of whispering voices, or doing anything else extra weird. And the chompy things seemed to have learned that if they tried to lunge at him they got a telekinetic whack for it, and mostly chewed disconsolately on some old tires.
Things were looking . . . yeah, okay, Michael had no idea what they were looking like other than "not Roswell", but hey. They weren't bad!
He was weirdly kind of missing a truck to work on, though. He wondered if that Summer chick would let him poke around her spaceship's engine.

"Hey Michael. Glad to see you survived the weirdness this week." Because it had been so very weird. Even by Connor's standards.

"Things have been good. The last few days have been ummm... interesting" he said as he brushed off a bit of that cat fur that seemed to stick to everything. "My old professor, Cutter... he kinda turned into a cat the other day so, I've been trying to take care of a fluffy orange cat AND Rexy." It was a struggle Micahel. It was like taking care of two toddlers.

He would probably not argue that Connor wore his cape well. Especially if he got to see Connor wearing only a cape.

Connor gave a small shrug. "Though now I am wondering what animal I might turn into..."
And there was still a cape in the closet that had mysteriously hung around after that crazy day. He'd have to try and find a time to wear it again!

"I mean, is it random, or are you supposed to turn into your 'spirit animal' or something grossly appropriative like that?"

Connor gave a smirk and a slight head tilt as he looked at Michael. "Now you.... that is a tough one. What animal would you turn into?" Connor pondered for a moment. He was definitely getting grizzly bear vibes... self-sufficient, independent, a loner, fighter.... it was definitely a Michael vibe to an extent.

There was a pause.
"I was actually a little worried about what might have happened while we all were on that trip. Was a relief to see things were pretty much the same. And speaking of the trip..." he held out the bag he had with him to Michael. "Got your souvenirs here," he said with a smirk.

oh so moddablewine, because obviously had to have that. And a pouch with a little something Connor had found that just seemed to say "Michael" to him.no subject
"France trying to be cowboys, huh?" he asked with a chuckle, moving it so the stones caught the light.

"But yeah, I saw it in one of the shops we visited on the last day. Know it's probably crap compared to the authentic stuff back home for you. But figured it was a better fit for ya than an expensive cologne or something overly gaudy."

"Know how that is," Connor nodded in agreement, rubbing the back of his head slightly.
"The only really nice thing I got for myself on the trip was a black leather jacket. "I'll have to wear it next time you come over so you can see it."
Ya know, see him with it on, with it off, lots of ways to go with that.

"Maybe..." Connor said pondering the question for a moment but not sounding too convinced. "If I do though, I know where I'm taking it for any repairs and work," he added with a small wink. "Would make it easier to find an excuse to come by my often."

He said it very cheerfully, but Michael was pretty much always expecting people to get tired of him and leave.

"Eh we'll see who gets tired of who first," Connor said with a laugh before that grin went a little embarrassed. "I mean I've already drunk texted you so... "
It had honestly not taken much worse for people to leave him in the past so... expectations!

"That's true. And it was delightful."
