The Photo Hut - Thursday
Liz was feeling a lot better than she had been and after taking the past week off, she felt well enough to try and do some work at the store today.
She felt extremely grateful that Prompto had been taking really good care of her and the store, even when she had gotten a little moody and irritable towards the end there but he had been patient with her and she was extremely glad that she had him there for support.
She was still feeling a little tired and achy, her ankles were still a bit swollen but she was doing her best to keep them elevated and stay at her computer to work on some reports and answer as many emails as she could.

Thankfully, he had his own stuff that he was worrying about, the sort of stuff that made it very convenient that Liz did want to try to get some work in that morning, so that he could do some research in private. This worked out nicely, too, because, while he could still look into a few things during his own time at the shop or even during his T&C shift, doing it at home meant he could also ask Rain for her opinion on some stuff, and what Rain had to think about it clearly held a lot of weight in this particular matter.
So it was with newfound insight and some long overdue snuggle time with the cat (who thought it was maybe a bit unfair that Liz had clearly been getting all the attention lately) that he eventually made his way down to the shop to see how Liz was doing.
"I made you some of that tea," he announced, lifting the mug for proof as he came down and over to the counter, setting it down before leaning his elbows on it and smiling over at Liz. "And there's lunch, too, but I didn't know how you were feeling, so I'll go grab it if you're hungry. How are you feeling? Need me to take care of anything? Need any help? Should I just go jump off a bridge and leave you alone?"

She returned the smile, “I’m feeling a lot better than I was, still a bit tired but after the last week it’s not too bad, tea sounds lovely though thank you, actually do does lunch,” she admitted.

Definitely not some attempt to maybe consider the size of them for reference and estimations or anything like that!
"Then we'll have lunch, he decided. "Although I will have to go back upstairs to get it. No bridge jumping while I'm gone, though, I promise."
The way he was still very much settled into holding her hand, however, made it pretty clear he was in no rush to leave quite yet.

She was also in no hurry to let go of his hand, clinging a little tightly as she did.
“Lunch it is,” she grinned, “and I’m very glad there won’t be any jumping off bridges,” she added.

"I'm kind of a little afraid of heights, anyway," Prompto admitted, with a crooked sort of grin.
"The new programing I did on the computer hasn't given you any trouble today, has it?"

"Good," Prompto smiled happily at that news. "That was the whole point. I was worried it might end up a little clunky, it's been a while since I worked with anything that wasn't old Nif code and tech, but it was kind of fun, getting back into it again."

There was definitely a chance she had forgotten about tea and lunch just then.
She smiled, “it hasn’t seemed clunky at all,” she assured him, “it’s been great to use,”

It just felt like one of those moments that really solidified that his certainty about what he'd spent his morning looking into....
....not that he needed it, of course. He'd wanted to have done this ten years ago, after all.
"...if it does start bugging out, just let me know, it shouldn't be too much to troubleshoot it."

Liz smiled brightly as she gazed up at Prompto, “I will definitely let you know,” she promised him, especially since she didn’t know a whole lot about the technical side of computers.
