Chilly Boulder, Sunday Afternoon

There were very few adults on the island right now to deal with all of the children. As a responsible adult, Stark felt like he needed to make sure that the suddenly small residents of the island were happy. And possibly full of sugar.

So here he was at the ice cream shop (possibly accompanied by a very small Travis?) prepared to provide as many ice creams as necessary to as many newly tiny residents of Fandom as wanted them.

[Open but with the disclaimer that I'm going to the movies for the first time in 2.75 YEARS so I'm going to be gone for a few hours from like 11:20 to 2 EST. But I wanted to set up Stark spoiling tiny children because he loves to do that. Tag in, I will return, and please feel free to cause weetiny chaos amongst yourselves!]

Of course Summer was going to get ice cream. Summer loved ice cream. She was getting a cone with strawberry and an absurd amount of sprinkles and then go lean on the table of the one adult she did know around here importantly.

She didn't actually say anything, because apparently, without the influence of her parents, she was just going to be a weird little goblin child this time around, but she was there and she had ice cream, what more did you want?

"You found pink ice cream."

As if there was ever any doubt.

"Is it good?"

Little Kurt was still fascinated by the strange place he had found himself in yesterday And when we awoke in the same place again he was excited to do some more porting around. Especially since his parents seemed to not be around to tell him to 'be careful and watch where you are going' and all that annoying parent stuff.

So, Kurt had been bamfing in and out around the streets of Fandom and eventually found himself outside what seemed to be an ice cream shop. So, obviously, he had to go in to get some.

"Oh wow!" he said as he walked in, eyes going wide as he looked around.

"It's strawberry," Summer informed him, with a look that told him that should have been obvious, "so of course it is. You should get some," there was a certain defiance in the statement and the next lick of her ice cream, "if you don't believe me."

"Why are you blue?" asked Summer, who did not yet know that you couldn't just ask people why they were blue, Summer.

"Would you like some ice cream?" Stark asked.

Look, he had a particular fondness for blue people. Especially blue children.

"I might have to," Stark said. "To make sure you're correct."

[furrybluefreak]

"Because I am me and there's no one else like me!" Kurt replied. Look when you were six, there were only so many ways to explain something like that.

He looked at Summer and gave her a grin. "I'm Kurt Wagner," he said.

"Oh yes please!"Kurt said his eyes still wide. He finally remembered his manners and turned and looked at Stark. "Danke," he said with a small nod. "My name's Kurt."

Summer gave the boy a skeptical look, because that sounded like the sort of things parents told their kids just to make them feel better. Things like we promise we'll get you a pony for your birthday next year, Summer or of course we'll still love you just as much when the new baby comes, Summer. But she wasn't about to tell him that.

"I'm Summer," she offered back. "Summer Smith. Are you going to get blue ice cream?"

"I might... depends on what the flavor is," Kurt said somewhat curiously, not quite getting the assumption that blue was his favorite color cuz he was blue. "I really like the color green. I wonder if they have any green ice cream!" He considered the ice cream Summer had and ventured a question of his own. "You like rosenfarben? Or is erdbeere your favorite?" he asked, slipping back to his native German a little.

"Exactly," said Summer, nodding as if very proud that Mr. Glowy Face had clearly learned something from their encounter yesterday. "You never know if someone could by lying, so it's always good to check."

With that, she gave a lingering, thoughtful look at his face (well, his mask) before all eyes were on his ice cream assuming he had some omg.

"What kind did you get?"

"I don't know what those are," said Summer, dismissively, as if her not knowing already meant they didn't really matter. "But...mint is green! You could do that! Pistacio's green, too, but pistacio's gross." She wrinkled her nose, sticking out her tongue. "The only person I know who likes pistachio is my dad."

"Oh mint! That is a really tasty one- good idea! "I don't know what... pistachio is..." Kurt said stumbling a bit over the pronunciation of that word. It sounded weird for sure!

"They're these little green nuts," Summer explained helpfully, glad she could impart this useful knowledge to Kurt, "and they come in white shells and everytime he eats them, my dad goes 'let's get cracking!'"

Every. Single. Time.

Sure, it still made Summer giggle when he did, but it was also kind of embarrassing.

"I don't think you'd lie to me," Stark said. "Not about ice cream."

Maybe about other things. He didn't know much about tiny Summer.

"I got a sundae. With lots of whipped cream. And chocolate peanut butter ice cream."

"Hello, Kurt. I'm Stark. And you can get what you like."

[furrybluefreak]

"I think i will stick with mint" Kurt said with a small frown. "Nuts in ice cream sound terrible really!"

"Chocolate peanut butter's pretty good," said Summer, with a speculative but overall approving nod. "So is whipped cream."

And then, after a thoughtful look and a tilt of her head, she added, "I bet if you put peanut butter and strawberry ice cream together, it would almost be like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich..."

"Nuh-uh!" Summer countered, maybe a bit smugly. "Peanuts! Peanuts are great in ice cream!"

They were also not actually nuts, but details, details.

"That would be good," Stark said, nodding. "Maybe we should try it?"

He would get the whole tiny population of the island sugared up if left unchecked.

"Unless you have enough ice cream already."

"I don't think there could ever be too much ice cream," said Summer, with a snort of a laugh and looking at Stark like he was crazy for even suggesting such a thing.

"So, yes, we should try it. Peanut butter and strawberry, maybe with whipped cream and sprinkles. Do you think...maybe, they could take two cookies and put the ice cream between them," she demonstrated helpfully by squishing in her hands, "so the cookies are like the bread!"

"Really? Any flavor I want?" Kurt asked, his eyes going wide and a big toothy grin spreading across his face. "Then I want mint! Please," he remembered to add after a moment's pause.

"Maybe..." Kurt said skeptically. "I guess they could taste good with chocolate."

"Maybe?" Summer sounded a little incredulous. "More like definitely, with chocolate or not.

"I mean," she added, a beat later, "unless you're allergic. Are you allergic?"
