The Photo Hut - Tuesday
It had definitely been an interesting few days and when Liz had woken up that morning, Prompto wasn’t a child anymore.
It had been a bit hard to leave to head downstairs, since Liz was very tempted to just stay in but she knew she should go down and do some work, especially since she had missed Tuesday last week.
She didn’t actually have too much work to do but she thought she could get ahead start on some reports and try to finish her paperwork early this week.

He kind of wanted to just sink into the floorboards and disappear forever at first, but that was obviously not an option, and not even something he really wanted anyway. He was just going to need a moment (or most of the morning, really) to just sort of groan and pout about it to himself before being willing to show his face to the world again.
Or at least to Liz.
So when he did finally make it downstairs, he was feeling quite a bit subdued and squishy, and went immediately over to the counter so that he could just hop over it and drape his arms around Liz from behind in a hug, accompanied by a kiss on the top of her head.
"....Hi."

She wasn’t sure how much of the last few days Prompto did remember.

And, well, it would be kind of a dick move to go through all the trouble of coming back in a timely fashion, just to turn around and die of childhood-induced embarrassment.
"Better," he assured Liz, giving her a little bit of a squeeze, and another kiss on the back of her head this time. "Sorry I was such an awkward weirdo as a kid. You were amazing, though."

“I wasn’t sure if I was doing things right,” Liz admitted, “I’ve always turned into a child myself when it happens,” she enjoyed the feel of the squeeze and Prompto’s kiss on her the back of her head, “I think Rain did more work than I did,” she admitted.

There was a reluctant pause before he added, "Animals were always much easier than people, back then. You were great, though. Incredibly patient." He smiled softly, not that she could really see it. "Some of those maternal instincts kicking in, no doubt."

“I think I did make a bit of progress talking about photography,” she said softly, “I know that always helped me when I was a child,” she added, “I was worried that I was going to do a bad job,” she admitted, “that I wasn’t going to be good looking after a child,” she bit her lip as her free hand went to her bump. “You really think I did a good job?”

"Well," he amended with a faint, self-depricating chuckle, "slightly more comfortable, anyway...that's not nothing."
There was a slight pause before he added, tempted to put a hand to his own much smaller stomach just then, "Probably could have done with fewer pastries, though."

“I wasn’t sure what to get,” she admitted, “I didn’t think it was a good idea getting our usual cups of coffee yesterday,”

Ignis.
The chuckle had brought Prompto's head down a little, so that the next soft kiss was directed at Liz's cheek, and, awkward as the position was for Prompto, he sort of nuzzled into her shoulder a little. In a way, he kind of reveled in how easy it was to contort himself, how easily he could move without all that extra weight.
"I'm pretty sure I'd have been happy with anything you'd have put in front of me, though."
Well. Probably not salad. But, you know...

Even though that could have also been all the extra attention she was getting that weekend as well.

Not that they really needed an excuse to give her treats.
