The Photo Hut - Thursday
Since Liz had managed to get a head start on her reports on Tuesday, she was spending some time this morning focusing on her emails and she also did have a new email from Hellboy so in between finishing her reports and her other emails, she was spending a bit of time emailing back and forth with him, there were also new photos of the cats that he had sent over.
She was trying to get as much work done as she could but the new photos of the cats were proving to be especially distracting and she was finding that a lot more interesting than the work she was meant to be doing.

"Water," he started, swooping in from upstairs behind the counter, to swing an arm around Liz to set the bottle in front of her beside the keyboard. "Lunch." The other hand deposited the handy bag carrying everything they'd need on the other side.
And last, but certainly not least, he leaned in to drop off a kiss on her cheek.
"Hi."

Her smile widened when he kissed her cheek, "hi," she turned to look up at him, "thank you for lunch, it smells amazing,"

And since he was already there, he was just going to linger for a moment with his chin on Liz's shoulder, peering over at the computer. "Working on anything interesting?"
He was pretty sure he already knew the answer.

“I got a bit distracted, Hellboy sent over new photos of the cats, they’re proving to be more interesting than the work I’m supposed to be doing,” she admitted.

So distracting that he didn't even finish that statement before it cut off with an, "Awwwww! Ohmygod. I want to steal all of them. You don't think he'd mind," he chuckled again, "right?"

But now there was all the melting. Quite possibly also actual heart eyes.
"Look how little he still is!"

He gave her a soft smile and another light kiss, this one somewhere closer to her forehead. Thanksgiving was already next week, wasn't it? That might throw off some of his plans a little, but honestly, maybe it would be a blessing in disguise. He'd just have to make some adjustments, maybe send out of a few texts or emails of his own before then...

He breathed out a little. "We'll be together, at least, if anything happens." His arms moved to wrap around her, squeezing a little, but not too tight, and resting his head against her. "That's what matters. And with good people, who are probably better equipped to deal with that kind of portal block than we were. I think I could handle being stuck at the BPRD with you for ten years if it came to that."
Which was funny, because there were definitely some people who would say ten years stuck in New Jersey was the literal definition of hell.

Especially since he was already starting to come up with a few new ways to take his plans for next week to accommodate.

That was, after all, the most important part.
"Is there something we should be bringing?" he wondered. "I don't really remember a whole lot about Thanksgiving at all, if I'm honest."

“Maybe if we bring a dessert like last time?” Liz suggested, “I’ll ask Hellboy to make sure there’s nothing else that they’d like us to bring but I think bringing a plate of something wouldn’t hurt,”

"No one will probably want to eat it," he added, a moment later, around food that was perfectly acceptable that he had just made himself, "but it's the thought that counts."
