The Magpie Emporium; Friday [11/18].
After having indeed picking up some scones at the bakery after his radio broadcast and on his way to work that day at the Maaaagpie Empooor~rium, Graham was a little disappointed that Saffron seemed pretty disinterested in them and Little Bot only had some when he crumbled one up and scattered it on the floor...which made sense, actually, but he felt kind of silly, making a mess just so Little Bot could enjoy them, but that was just the way the cookie crumbled, he supposed.
Or scone, in this case.
He took care of a few things here and there, and then settled in behind the counter with his Big Book of Notes for his campaign, hammering out a few details that seemed a bit disjointed with how the last couple of months had been pretty hit-and-miss with being able to really get together to play, but it wasn't a real DnD campaign without several missed sessions here and there, right?
The Magpie Emporium is open!

"Oooh," he said, eyes widening with intrigue, "what's that you've got with you this time?"

Although Libby wouldn't have minded if things worked out that they could have all played this when they were wee and small, but there were more than a few problems with that being able to come into play, she imagined.

“Hello,” she smiled brightly as she arrived.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
Well, perhaps if they were from some nefarious bad guy trying to poison them, or something like that, but he would never suspect such a thing from Jo!
(Which is exactly why he should suspect such a thing from Jo!)
"Hi, Jo." Dramatic narrative aside, Graham smiled at her and greeted her with a wave of his hand. "How's it going? Are you having a good week?"
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
“It’s going rather well, at least this past week has been, I’m relieved that everything has seemed to settle down for the time being, even though I suppose now the holiday season is almost here,” she remembered how last year had gone. “How about you? How has your week been?”

He had his usual containers full of empanadas and this week he had ended up making four pies, going with pumpkin, cranberry, apple and chocolate.
He had spent so much time cooking that he had nearly lost track of time and was rather breathless when he showed up, “hi I’m not late am I?”
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
Because it looked like there were four of them! Four pies!
"Looks like someone's been busy this week!" he remarked, cheerfully, with a pleased chuckle to match.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
He smiled in relief, “oh that’s great, I thought I was going to be late, I wanted to make sure I had enough snacks this week,”
He looked down at the containers, “and help would be great thank you,”
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
Because if there was one thing they were in constant threat of, it was running out of snacks!
Graham hurried over to Guillermo, where he was suddenly faced with a tough decision: did he help with the empanadas? Or the pies? Both were very important, and he did love both of them, but the pies won out in the end, as he grabbed those from Guillermo's stack of snacks to help him bring them over to the table.
"How have you been this week?" he then asked as he moved. "Or has it mostly just been cooking these amazing pies and empanadas?"

"Hey Graham, how have you been?" Kurt asked with a grin as he arrived with goodies in hand- and tail.
Re: Graham's Table: Pre-Game Chatter - 11/18.
But, more importantly...
"How have youuuuuuuuuu been?" he ventured, leaning in with a speculatively quirked brow.

Graham's Table: Gameplay - 11/18.
"When we last left off," he continued, "we had met with Lady Debora Anastazia Melodica Agneesian Roth and gotten ourselves all nice and situated to start our journey north toward Mount Freeland, escorting her brother, Lord Donovan Alexsander Michelangelo Donatello Luigi Roth, who you've since learned goes by Don for short and being handsomely paid for it....half of it now, the other half once he has safely arrived. Due to Don's very frail disposition, he had a very comfortable carriage with very thick curtains that are constantly drawn against the harsh sun....no doubt a feature that will appeal to a few in the party. He also has in his retinue two guards on horseback, and horses have also been provided to those who would like one for themselves. You also have a goblin joining you, one from the that fateful previous night at the tavern who had been caught in the attempt to swindle and pickpocket the audience under the trance of Montague Silverchord's long anticipated performance. His name, you've come to find out, is Brikkz, and he's become very attached to your party, despite everything that happened, and is certain you're all quite good friends. He is happily riding on the back of the carriage, on top of a few trunks strapped there, claiming to be keeping a close eye on the rear in case they're attacked by any bandits along the way.
"For the most part," Graham continued, "the journey starts out very smoothly, and without much excitement. There's a good deal of open plains to traverse across before you reach the wild and wonderous Western Woods. The road is smooth until then, but, once in the woods, it becomes a little rougher, a little more meandering, but filled with far more interesting scenery than the plains and farmlands outside of Cenmich.
"As we ramble along," he now grinned as he passed a grin around the table, "I'd like you all to tell me, first, where it is you've chosen to make this journey....are you in the carriage with Lord Don? Did you take Lady Debora up on her offer of a fine horse? Are you camped out next to the driver at the front of the carriage criticizing his driving skills? Some other thing? So let us know that and then, let's have everyone roll perception!"
Awww, yeah, time to break out the dice again, baby!
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay - 11/18.
She picked up a d20 and rolled it. "Seventeen."
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay - 11/18.
Her dice went thunking onto the table, and she leaned over to have a look. "Ooh!"
And then check her character sheet and her eyes went wide for a moment.
"Oh, wow, okay, so that's a 23!"
Apparently, she had a stupid high perception bonus that she'd forgotten about, but she was not going to complain about it!
Re: Graham's Table: Gameplay - 11/18.
A moment later the dice clattered onto the table and after a brief calculation of the dice roll and his perception boost, he gave a grin. "Looks like Amenken scores a 21 on this one."
