Caritas- Tuesday

There was a turkey in the bar.

No idea where it came from or where to put it, but after a good long time of Tino chasing after it to comical effect, they'd just decided to let it hang out. It wasn't hurting anybody. It added ambiance.

Anyway, Caritas was open.

Steve came in and arched his eyebrow at the turkey. "Did Clint get thematic today?"

"He did not. Apparently this is just a thing that's happening," Kitty shrugged.

"You're a turkey bar now," Steve said. "Huh."

[throughaphase]

"I wouldn't say we're a turkey bar... we just are a bar that has a turkey in it today," she said.

"Well, what if he tells all of his turkey friends?" Steve asked. "I mean, it's a tough weekend for them. They could probably use some drinks."

"What, is he gonna call them on the phone? He's already here," she said.

"Maybe," Steve said, laughing. "I've learned not to underestimate Fandom wildlife."

"I'm worried about what you're setting us up for, Steve," Kitty warned.

"That's a good point," Steve admitted. "I apologize to the world at large."

He sat down at the bar. "Could I have a beer, please?"

"You can definitely get a beer," Kitty said, getting one. "How's it going?"

Steve smiled. "Better," he said. "Meeting up with some folks tomorrow for a quick hello," --the other Avengers in their secret location, "and then heading out with Tony for Thanksgiving together."

"Good!" Kitty said, setting down his beer. "That sounds encouraging."

Steve gave her a grateful smile and took a sip. "It is," he said. "Marriage is hard work sometimes. Who knew?"

"People really do undersell that part," she nodded.

"Normally we're fine," Steve said. "That made this bump feel much bigger."
