The Magpie Emporium, Thursday (12/22)
... right, so the store had a ball pit full of ornaments that had not been there yesterday, or any other day in as long as Steph had been running the place.
They were gaming themed ornaments, granted, because of course they were, but the ball pit was right in the middle of the first floor game lounge and neither Little Bot nor Saffron was at all a fan of this sudden change. (You could tell from the way Little Bot would beep in distress every time he had to go around it, and how every now and then Saffron would dig an ornament out of the ball pit, hiss at it, and then bat it very scornfully back into the pit.)
Steph put up a sign at the front counter: No charge for the ball pit, knock yourselves out! (Not literally. Please.) She'd thought about it, since it was in the paid gaming area, but also not charging for it felt like a nice little way to assuage some of her weird feelings about running a store during the most rampantly capitalistic time of the year in her part of the world.
Fiddling around with one of the games from the Kickstarter showcase helped too, actually.
[OOC: Open!]
