Miguel came in this morning with a cooler, which had the staff interested, until they saw it was fish.
"The boss does that all the time," the dishwasher said, disappointed. "Is this even fresh?"
"It's salted," Miguel said. "I started it yesterday. And nobody says you have to eat it."
"I was going to make black-eyed peas," the cook offered.
Miguel shrugged. "Sure, if you want. Stack the odds."
