Community Center Class: Baked Baking, Tuesday Evening [1/10]
"I know this is going to be a little hard to believe," said Summer, "coming from me, but one of the goals," that one was a very important distinction here, be-tee-dubs, "of this class is to take that well known concept of 'the munchies' and….elevate it to new and unexpected culinary heights."
As if to….prove it? Or possibly make people even more skeptical of this claim, Summer took a moment to pull out from behind the counter a box of Ritz crackers and a bag of Ruffles potato chips.
“Is elevate the right word?” Stark asked as he eyed the snack foods with a very skeptical expression on his face. “It’s a word. Unexpected is a right word. I’m not sure anything is elevated.” Unless that was some sort of play on the word high in which case it had gone right over his head. “It might be?” The cookie dough crackers actually sounded delicious even if he wasn’t entirely sold on the marshmallows and chips.
"There's only one way to find out," Summer said. "Today, we'll be making cookie dough bites with Ritz crackers and Ruffles Rice Krispy treats, which may sound very what the fuck why, but I like to think you're all about to be somewhat pleasantly surprised."
“And if you aren’t pleasantly surprised you’ll at least have learned something,” Stark said. Maybe that something was ‘don’t trust Summer’s recipe choices’ or maybe it was just 2 recipes that could be made entirely with the microwave and thus were less likely to end in disaster if you happened to be in an altered state!

Or at least wish you just would, if her own salmonella-related cookie dough incidents were anything to go by.

There was, however, a paaaause.
"The getting sick part, anyway," she amended. "Maybe a lot less on the dying. I was just being a little dramatic."
Summer? Dramatic? Noooooo.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
Being a little dramatic was, anyway.
"I'll try to be careful of my cookie dough consumption then."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"I guess," she mused, "you could also get sick and die from just eating too many."
Which he wasn't allowed to do until after his birthday, dammit.
"These are fucking delicious."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"But they are delicious. It could happen."

"I think," he said between bites, "elevated would be an acceptable word for these."

"I'd forgotten about the pie," he confessed. "This is better. But there's chocolate so of course it is."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
It did not, actually. But, well...dramatics.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
Like fizzy meat water jello shots that may have turned someone in this room into a koala. There was no proof either way!
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"Worse, yes," said Summer, "but it absolutely defies logic how well those crackers managed to emulate apple pie."
It was one of those things that made Summer almost get how Fandom weirdness almost drove Barry to the brink of insanity so many times.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"It was very strange. Like the beef fudge that still tasted good." That had been a personal affront to Stark, honestly.
"These at least make sense being delicious," he said, picking up yet another cookie dough cracker.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"See, now, I actually kind of forgot about the beef fudge," Summer admitted. "But I think that's sort of a...all the meat things tend to blend together."
A pause.
"Mentally, I mean, not, you know, actually blended together, but now I'm sort of wondering if I need to do, like, a turducken of meat jello shots. Just every meat I have, throw it in, see what unholy beast comes out of it."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"Please don't," Stark said hurriedly, looking mildly alarmed. "That sounds horrible. Gross, even."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"It does sound horrible," she agreed, far too wistfully. "Too horrible not to try!"
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
"Too horrible to make," Stark offered hopefully. "I'm not trying it." Unless Summer asked him to.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
In a tone that suggested that, while this was true, she also would not hesitate to pout a little over the fact that he wouldn't just try it on his own volition.
And that she totally could just ask him to, if she really wanted to.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [1/10]
Even though he knew there were risks involved with that.
