There was work at the office today! A case! Maybe even multiple cases!!
Like Arthur, Nancy was not excited by the prospect of missing persons so much as just glad to have something to keep her hands busy. She took care of what little filing and mail there was to sort through before eagerly looking to see what the other two had already gotten into earlier in the week. (The other two. You know. Her peers and coworkers! She was the same as those two competent adults!!)
(Honestly, Nancy didn't really feel like she was deluding herself there, either? This wasn't like working at the Post. No one treated her like an idiot here.)
In any case, her little notepad was rapidly filling up with neatly-written shorthand, and she was debating whether she wanted to ask Eddie to tag along when she tried to hit the pavement on the mainland later to follow some of these leads.
