"'Do not take calls from the Bee Lady'?"
Nancy had several questions -- like, to start with, why the B and L were capitalized (like, obviously this woman was somehow known by her association with bees, sure, but...was it because she kept bees? Avoided bees? Called about bees?
...was a bee?)
But also, more importantly, how the hell was she supposed to know who was on the phone before they identified themselves? Which led Nancy to an internet search, which led her to the discovery of Caller ID, and the eventual realization she'd gone way too long without actually getting one of these cell phone things. (Like, Eddie had one, even if it mostly seemed to be for music.) And while getting something like that would be a real acquiescence to her being stuck here -- if you couldn't beat 'em, join 'em, right?
In the meantime, though, she was very wary of the office phone, to the point that she actually let everything go to voicemail. (It wasn't like the Caller ID was going to come up 'BEE LADY,' anyway! Right?)
