Community Center Class: Baked Baking [Tuesday 3/7]
The fact that Summer seemed to be running a little late that evening should probably cause a moment of concern for everyone, but probably not nearly as much concern as might be inspired by her eventual entrance. Which involved lugging in a big case of Spaghetti-Os.
"A lot of processed and canned foods," she said, thunking the big case down proudly and grinning over at everyone, "are actually formulated by food scientists to make them more addicting and make you crave them more. Did you know that? This is why some foods that taste even just sort of okay when you're sober will suddenly seem amazing when under certain influences. Now, I'll be honest, I've never really hunkered down and noshed by way through a whole case of Spaghetti-Os before< but someone put an extra zero in the system when doing her orders last week, and so we have an excess of this stuff at the store right now. So I thought 'perfect! We can use them for class!'"
“Perfect,” Stark echoed, clearly not agreeing with this assessment. “You know I would have helped carry that if you’d asked, Summer. Even if I’m frightened of what you’re planning on doing with it.”
"Whatever," Summer brushed the offer off, "it's a good workout. Anyway, we've got two recipes to work with today: pizza and cupcakes!"
Great things on their own, right? And both things to be actually baked! What could go wrong, right?
So many things could go wrong. So. Many.
“I’m very sorry,” Stark told the class. “About the cupcakes.”
"I'm not," said Summer, surprising no one.
“No,” Stark said, shaking his head but smiling in spite of himself, “you wouldn’t be.”

"Where did you even find those cupcakes?" Stark asked. "They're so..."
Maybe there were no words.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
But more to the point, she shrugged her shoulders. "You can find anything in the internet."
And if that wasn't a clear sign of danger for the fact that Summer was, at times, terminally on-line....
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"I suppose you can... but maybe you shouldn't."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
She had donated some. A lot, actually. One step closer to helping eradicate world hunger, right?
This break-up was turning her into quite the philanthropist.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
Stark stopped himself before he could say anymore. He hadn't meant to say even that much. And he was now concerned about what might be waiting at the bar tomorrow night.
"I don't know," he said. "Eat some?"
Give some to Raiden? Leave them in a common room in the dorms?
"Or... something like this. It almost makes sense."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"This is eating them, Stark," she pointed out. "Just, like, you know....more creatively."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"You're eating the cupcakes?" Stark asked. "On purpose?"
Without being under the influence?
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"Someone might eat them," she clarified, because it was probably not going to be her.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"Maybe Goose would like them? Or... you could offer them to Raiden."
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
She then looked at Stark and that pleading expression, and smirked, just a little.
"You don't have to eat them, either," she assured him, magnanimously.
Re: Talk to the Teachers - BB [3/7]
"I think Raiden will eat nearly anything. But thank you. For not making me eat the cupcakes."
He'd be willing to try the pizza even though it seemed very odd.
