The Perk, Tuesday Afternoon (3/7)
Even after hitting the gym Marc was still on autopilot mode. There was stuff he needed to handle, and he needed to grab some food.
Figuring he may as well multitask, he stopped by the Perk to grab a coffee and the finest turkey sandwich a coffee shop had to offer (possibly while thinking fond thoughts of that pastrami he'd had back in 1910 New York).
Marc then posted up at a table by the window and started getting caught up on his emails and the like.
Yes, he was still ignoring a certain set of text messages. What of it?

Though first, a stop for a fancy coffee and a bagel.
"Afternoon, Marc." Don't mind Watts just inviting himself to spin down into a seat at your table.

Marc? Still smug about how it'd been Steven with morning after regrets and not him.

handwavedtattoo appointment or paperwork at the diner. But he hadn't missed the concern on his partners' faces. And he wasn't interested in becoming a weird shut in when he wasn't actually at sea. So today he was actually here, out in public, where other people were!
Ordering coffee in a low voice with the brim of his "deus ex machina" hat pulled down not-quite-over his eyes and wondering when existing in the presence of other people started making him so tired.

But although there was an air of discomfort about the other man, he didn’t seem to be acting as if his surroundings were in any way new or unfamiliar.
“Hello there.”

"Hey," he said, because he could respect the idea of someone feeling like life was a bad idea.

He glanced over and nodded. Another stranger. Again, not really a surprise. He really needed to get out more.
"Hey. How's it going?"

"Hey," Marc said. Steven knew Duke at least. He'd been one of the first people he'd met in town. Duke had been nice to Steven so that earned Duke points with Marc. "You run the diner, right? I've heard about you."
Heard about. Saw through Steven's memories. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

Full on we there, since Marc had helped as well. Not as much as he'd offered since Steven had his thing about no killing. But you can't say Marc hadn't attempted to do his best.

"Healed, mostly," he offered. "It really wasn't that bad of an injury, as these things go." It still tended to ache if he overexerted with the arm or slept on it, but he was doing his best to avoid those things, so.
