The Perk- Friday Afternoon

Kurt needed to take care of a few things, including making a couple calls to touch base with the team back home. Oh yeah, and also a call to his folks was probably in order, due to the five messages in as many days asking how he was doing and saying how much they missed him.

So Kurt had ended up at The Perk with his typical jumbo caffeinated and sugary monstrosity. He had found a corner and started making his calls, which he would be totally distractable from between making the calls. Especially since he was anticipating a good bit of playful teasing and embarrassing questions from Logan and Scott and some equally embarrassing and prying questions of a different sort from his folks.

The Perk is open and the Mutantis here and oh so distractable!

Oh, look, it was another mutant!

"Hey, minidad, how's it going?"

Was a regular Mutant convention really!

Kurt gave a somewhat crooked smile at that.

"Hey TJ, doing good. And you?"

"With this weather? Wishing we were back in Indonesia." She rolled her eyes and went to get a latte. "That was fun."

"No complaints here. That was an amazing trip" Kurt said with a nod.

TJ grinned. "Was definitely interesting to room with Libby when I was a guy, though," she teased.

"So what are you up to?"

[furrybluefreak]

"Yeah.... can imagine. That whole swapping thing was a bit much really..." Kurt said with a small head shake. "But yeah, ummm... things are good. Just touching base with the team and all. And the folks... kinda been skipping a few of the check-ins" he said with a shrug. Hey he had been busy!

"Yeah?" TJ grinned. "Can I say hi?"

"Ah, sure" Kurt said with a slight pause. "Supposed to be touching base with Professor and I'm pretty sure Logan will be there" Kurt added with a roll of his eyes knowing that would likely end up with teasing. And a good bit of it.

TJ paused. "I should call my Uncle Logan. Let them argue at each other."

She would not, but it was tempting.

"Oh now that would be evil. Hillarious to watch, but still evil" Kurt said with a smirk. "Not sure the world is ready for two Logans at once."

But it was a tempting and admittedly intriguing idea.

TJ sighed dramatically. "Fine, I won't use my powers for evil. This time."
